Hey Wise ladies of the James May board! I just noticed this introduction type thread so I thought I'd say hi....naturally I agree with you all that James is squee-tastic and thud-alicious! Have been a huge fan of TG for years and James was always my fav but it took me long enough to actually stop and notice how dashingly gorgeous he is (Where the hell was I?!) Anyway, it comes as a great relief to know i'm not alone... I seriously thought it was just me! (Boy was I wrong!).
I noticed one of the other Mayhemers mention why don't they do Captain Slow t shirts for us ladies, funnily enough I emailed the guy that does Top Gears merchandise and nearly got a one off Captain slow ladies T shirt but it turns out that the print they use is too large for a smaller fitted t shirt (which sucks), I seriously reckon if they can churn out tonnes of t shirt for The Stig (much respect), why can't they just adapt the Captain slow design for us ladies.
I digress. I am so bloody chuffed to find you guys and will now continue to have cheeky thoughts about Mr May.....carry on....

Well Hello lovely ladeez!! Newb Mayhemer here. (She says dubiously edging her toe out of the closet and falling on the floor with a twirling thud!) Been perusing this fan-tastic board for a few days finding my feet (and my heart-a-pounding)! Thanks for your warm welcome! 'Bout Me - well - head in clouds mother of 3 lovely children, aged, 7, 4 & 3. I live in a beautiful village surrounded by the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains in South Wales. Love music (esp. F.Lips, Super Furries, Gruff Rhys, Belle & Sebs, Goldfrapp, Gomez and new Welsh Artists) F.Lips headlining my local fest this year (Greenman) - *suppressing excitement* -expecting an amazing summer as reward for the cold weather this winter. Also learning Welsh and to play guitar - recently progressed from nylon strings to steel cheese-wire type. Can't wait for my fingers to numb to the pain! Also reading the Twilight novels by Stephanie Meyer - I've been compared to 'Bella', also look a bit like Kristen Stewart who plays her in the movie. Plently of 'leanage' by Edward in the books... ...like someone else After having my head and heart turned - I stumbled across this board whilst studying images of the god-like man on Google - or ogle! Hi Everyone. I just joined after finding this board through a google images search. I must say I did kinda think I was the only one who was quite so obsessed with Captain Slow. Guess I should have known better. I am so glad to have found this board and I'm feeling my way around so please be patient with any mistakes I may make!
Anyway, umm... a little bit about me...I live on the east coast of the US, am married and my very patient husband knows about my obsession with Captain Slow as well as my other two long standing obsessions (Alan Rickman and Steven Tyler).
I love to read, I love music - almost all types. I am a huge fan of Top Gear which I watch on BBC America. Mr May has always been my favorite and it didn't take me too long watching the show to develop a crush. How can that be helped? Anyway, nice to meet everyone.

Hi aeromanda! Glad you found us. This is a great place to share the James May obsession! ;D I'm from the East Coast as well, Maine to be exact. Where are you? My husband knows that James is my favorite of the TG presenters, but he's not privy to the obsession side! He's had issues with the favoritism alone, even though James is his favorite as well. Go figure! Have fun here. When I first joined a few months ago, I spent hours reading the posts and gazing thoughtfully at the photos. It's a great place to be! |

Hello people (: Just joined today and I am very glad to have found yet another fabulous James May board  By the way, I'm from Denmark, so I would like to apologize for my occasionally bad grammar and spelling mistakes xD And now, to the main reason why I am here: My James May obsession began a couple of months ago (I feel rather cheated for not having 'found' him before, but sadly we don't have a lot of James May-related stuff on Danish television) and it have since developed into a slightly weird and very big crush. I blame it all on the Top Gear Bolivia special, which was the first TG-episode I ever saw - and I have been hooked ever since! I'm sure, it's going to be nice to meet you all and enjoy you're weekend (: |
