Thanks for all the great welcomes. In less than 4 weeks I'll be winging my way to England. I'll be joining my husband who's been then for a while. I am very excited for this new adventure in my life. Paul, my husband, is from England and still has family there. I don't have family here anymore so this move is perfect. We'll be living in a place called Aspull which is near Wigan. And that's sort of in between Manchester and Liverpool. Wish me luck and who knows maybe I'll get to meet our favorite trio.

I've managed to get to two recordings a couple of years ago, thanks in one case to Jacqui from the board and in the other on a spare ticket from someone on another Top Gear forum. That filming was the one where Slash played at the end, which was a brilliant experience - he nailed it on the first take though there was some technical problem, but the second take was even better!
I've never been lucky enough to get my own tickets. though I've applied every time they open the application process. I have to say that the thing I really miss is the Top Gear Live at the NEC, Birmingham. I went every year it was on and yes, it had got a bit 'samey' towards the end, but I would love them to come back with a new, original format. It's a good way to make a weekend of it, and as the NEC one usually coincided with my birthday, it made a lovely present to myself!

Hi everybody. I did join about a year ago but never really spend time here as I then had to organise my move to Japan! Now that I'm settled (-ish), I'm planning on being around a lot more.  Does anybody on this borad live in Japan too, by any chance? |
