I'm Twitter friends with Stephen Fry (one of 16,000 though) and he admitted that the QI special was filmed in May or June.

I had to sit through about 2 hours of cack just to get to two minutes of good stuff, but it was worth it. Bit cheesy at the start, Richard feeling up the car, but it was funny. And when Gene/Phil called him Gerbil, I laughed so much - '....actually it's Hamster.' Awwwww.  |
