As we have had the Bolivian header on for a while, and not having had a new one created to date, I thought we could revisit some old favourites. If anyone is creative enough and would like to have a go at creating a new header then please feel free and send your efforts to either myself, Inky or Lew. Thanks. Just bumping

Very nice header! I didn't dare say so at the time, but in all honesty "James of the Jungle" didn't do a lot for me in still pictures (except for the trouser-check moment!) though watching the programme was great fun. So I prefer this header to the previous one.

I'd love to, but unfortunately my talents lie more in the actual taking of pictures (old-school SLR user here!) and on the literary front (or so others have told me)... I have very limited skills in putting together something which looks coherent on a computer *blushes*
Still... I'm curious. There have been other JMB headers? Where would I find these examples? (I may not be particularly skilled in visual manipulation, at least on computers, but as James himself said recently, I "respond to visual stimuli"... and that kind of stimuli would be most eagerly appreciated! Does anyone have them archived, perchance? Please? ;D )

No worries, I too am the same, anything of a fiddling with pictures on computer forget it and yes we've had a number of really fantastic headers from two of our members (Aaurora, Asparay aka mystik ), I'm not the keeper of these, ly is, though I may have one or two give me a mo to see Well I have only two of these and these never went on the board (rather lush), I'll have a word first.

What are the general size, etc. guidelines for a header?

Not sure about size( though looking at the others I have about the size of my avatar and then we change the size,) but shall find out about that, I know copyright could be an issue but we seem to have got around that. Apart from that can't think of much more, just make it in our own style, plenty of May hopefully without those shoes (joking ;D ) anyone can give it a whirl and then ly will sort it on here

What are the general size, etc. guidelines for a header? As I thought, re size about my avatar whatever that size that is I can't remember though it's on this section of the board re pic sizes, then it's fiddled with by eclair or ly to make it fit

I could only see specs for banners... so, 150 by 700 (or was it 750) pixels (or "pixies", as James himself would call them! ), then?

A quick check on the image properties reveals that the current header is 600px by 244px. So roughly 600 x 250 will do nicely.

If you'll have me, I think I'd like to at least take a crack at a header. ^_^;; I'm not a pro (yet), but, I have the benefit of art school and experience before art school with design to help me out. xjsarah (in this month's Good Morning thread) suggested using the newest pictures of James from Lancaster Uni, which I love. I've been making graphics of this kind for years, especially for LiveJournal. I can provide examples of older work of mine, if anyone here would like to see it. I can start fiddling around with pics (I have a pretty good collection, sad person that I am! LOL) and just throw things into this thread and see what you all think, if that's all right with you.
