Sadly not. It is in Hay on Wye in Wales. I wish Jeremy would do something London based. After all, he lived here for years so he owes us one.

I saw them on a children's programme a while ago when I was looking after my nephews. They were brilliant! I can't remember what they played now (apart from ukes, obviously... I mean the piece of music) but the boys thought they were great too

Oh my God, that's my favourite song of all time, and I usually ration it's playing. I nearly stopped it after the first couple of bars, but it's a credible version. Oh no! My Way is blending in with it. Help! And another song, and now Born Free. Sorry I had to stop typing and stop it. I'm not sure I get that. All would have been equally great on their own. And I understand the amount of concentration, etc required for a round like that, but WHY? I could appreciate their musicianship if they played one song at a time.

Life On Mars actually came about because Bowie had written english lytrics to a French song called “Comme, D’Habitude” but was pipped at the post by Paul Anka who rewrote it as "My Way" so Bowie wrote and recorded Life on Mars as a Sinatra parody (apparently because he was peeved as missing out on the millions that he would have earned if his version was recorded ) - the chords are identical and on Hunky Dory the sleevenotes statethat it was "inspired by Frankie"

Ooh, that would be a crumb of comfort to, well, me at least, stranded here in Plymouth... I've seen James and Phil do the 20th Century thing twice and they hardly varied the script at all so I'll give it a miss this time. I would love to have seen Jezzer though but as it's sold out, I'll have to rely on Sky

Thanks for this interesting piece of info, Glam. Also not being musical at all, I wouldn't have recognised the same chords. I shall listen out for that now!

www.youtube.com/watch?v=ShyAhxvWlgUVoila. Think it's the anniversary of his death (CFrancois) because there was mention of it on French radio today. Vaguely remember he was electrocuted in the bath in 1978. To the French it's one of those moments when everyone remembers what they were doing when they heard the news.

Wy, are you till around? If so, is the Wales word operative?!!! I don't want a spoiler, but if it is relevant to Hay...... might want to know!

No, the spoiler is not Wales-specific... it relates to the recent overseas adventure
