Two is too stalker-like? I'm wrestling with going to my fifth. And I swore that two literacy festivals (talks, other books, spa towns = justification) and two close enough to home to warrant the journey and not too close to be outed by people I know, were enough!!!
Thanks for adding the 'new' tag!

Back from Canary Wharf signing.... It was the strangest signign ever... in the middle of the Canary Wharf shopping centre.... I was there about half 9 but due to.... well very confusing directions at CW i never acutally got into the shopping centre about an hour later. I meet up with Star. There were a couple of other girls there but that was it for the queue untill about 12ish!! Meet up with DD, who got in the queue with us.
it was such as strange place to have the signing..... the people that were with james werent the ones with him yesterday so today, well all got our pictures with him. As i was just going up to James. Mayfayre came along camera in hand to get some snaps. This time all i really wanted was a picture which i got. I never said anything this time.... but he did sign all my books!! Star and DD went through and got their stuff signed and piccies too. But there wasnt that many people really in the queue when we when through, the queue some what died down and DD asked James (oh god poor bloke) if we could have a group signing. So there is me, her and Star in a picture with james. Just after that Maibee turned up, also getting her book (signed again!!!). We then decided after go get a coffee.... but picked a lovely stop... behind were he was doing the signing.
Well it was a lovely day out (if you call it that) and cool that i got to meet a few more of you.
And james was still lovely!!!
PIctures coming up btw

I think a lot of people (that don't use this board) didn't know about the signing. We also just heard about it 2 days ago

Well at least it means he had to sign less so his hand won't hurt so much. ;D And he can get home and have a bit of a rest.

I got the impression it hadn't been well publicised & I didn't see any notices up advertising it when I was there. Here are my photos that just have James in. There will be some others in the Members Photos thread. (click on the photo for the rest of them)

Lovely man, lovely photos -- thanks so much ladies for sharing. Until James does a book signing in Miami, I must live vicariously through you Dear eyes, dear face, dear Mr. May... [paraphrasing Thomas Hardy]

Im back. DD still at Euston. Just texting her. She did wonders on her first tube trip back. Couldn't have done it alone. Carrie and I went to Waterloo with her, then I went to Euston. She had to wait for her original train instead of the earlier one she went for so is waiting to board now.
Mo while I catch up with photos and PMs

Was lovely to see DD, Star and MF again and to meet Carrie. Wish I'd listened to my better judgement and just lurked with MF to watch the proceedings! I felt a bit of a stalker with my second in 10 days, five now in total since Cheltenham. I told DD I'm done, but she reckons I'll be back for more!
I'd never been to Canary Wharf before so it was lovely to have a stroll round after MF left us after her extended lunch break.
It took me less than an hour to get there from work in W London, so that was good. Train journey home was a nightmare though, and I was glad that DD didn't experience that. We had to leave the Northern line train south at Euston because they suspended all journeys, I then got the Victoria to Oxford Circus and changed to the Bakerloo line. We sat there for ages because the train ahead was stuck in Piccadilly. It was roasting and they told us to make sure all windows were open - and that was in the station with the train doors open. Thank God we didn't stop in a tunnel for ages. Then my train from Waterloo was poodling along and when we got to Clapham Junction they said travellers for Richmond and Twickenham would be better off on train across platform so we left our seats and stood crammed like sardines in the other train and proceeded to watch the train we'd left hurtle out of the station! Still got home in the end!

Always the way. You have a lovely day and public transport does the usual. Glad you are home maibee. Sounds like you have had a nice afternoon (apart from the trains).

I was at work today but I would have loved to go and meet you guys and our lovely Jam! (although I'd had to buy his books AGAIN as my copies are all at home with the olds; shucks!) I used to live in Westferry so C. Wharf was my home turf last year. I miss it so much. Jubilee Place looks like its sorted itself out now- what a bizarre location for a signing! Fantastic photos guys- thank you!
