TBH, as he's been 'off air' as long as he's been on, I don't miss him anymore??

Not necessarily, apparently. Because of the mixed reaction, his return seems in no way certain, but TGSM is a collaboration between two people - the amazing chap who coordinates the stunts and the guy who actually performs them - and one of the girls at HH apparently has a nodding acquaintance with the former as he also exhibits vintage motorcycles (?). He has allegedly been approached for further ideas for next series, but who knows???
