Me too, WCH. There's a video link to it on the first post if you'd like a look. Which programme does this pic come from?! I've never seen it before, but I like it!

Hi XJ,
At first, I thought is was when he was playing Maple Leaf Rag on Cali WA, but it isn't, because he was wearing his yellow plaid shirt during that episode. I'm not sure where this picture comes from, but he looks really good in it.

Seem to recall reading somewhere that Mr. May plays the flute? Just wondering if there are any flute-playing photos about? -j, who once played the flute *off to search*

I can imagine him blowing would look rather nice.

James has said he plays the flute and saxophone as well as piano and harpsichord. In one of the episodes of 'my Sister's Top Toys, he says he has bought himself a violin (and briefly on screen can be seen a music stand and violin,) and is teaching himself to play it. I wonder how he is progressing?

Would pay good money to see James play a Saxophone, it's one of the hardest insturments to play as is the Violin, though with determination James will do this.

He is a sophisticated version of a one-man-band.

I absolutely adore him playing the piano in James May's Big Ideas. The episode about the robots. ;D He's such a talented man. (:

The clarinet was the closest thing to a recorder I've ever played. I did that for two years in school. It was alot of fun.
