I love the pic with Richard and the phone number. That is soooo cute! I would have probably abducted him in school! Thanks for posting the pic! But I still think I'd have tried to match game with Jezza. It would have been apoint of pride I think. My first formal date was with the long-haired "dangerous" guy who had a souped up Camaro and a motorcycle. The next formal I went with the chess nerd, named "Richard" oddly enough. My third and last formal was with a guy who was 6ft 4in tall, had fuzy hair, and was a club DJ. We dated through school. He wasn't as suave as Jezza by any stretch. But when he picked me up from my part time job waitressing, he'd always carry me piggy back to his car. He also had the keys to the spa tub room at the resort complex where he worked. So we had several late night "foot soaking" sessions in private after the spa had closed. Sigh, now I date computer nerds and motorcycle salesman. Aging sucks!

We had the indignity of the school disco.
Although they stopped for a while after some of my sixth form group decided they were bored, started smoking something dubious in the deputy head's office and accidentally set the notice board on fire.

I missed that one, unfortunately. It sounded like the best one they'd ever had Of course, when they brought them back, there were some songs that just couldn't go on the playlist. It's probably just as well that we weren't old enough for them to play 'Fire' by The Crazy World of Arthur Brown or 'Fire Brigade' by The Move, but 'Disco Inferno' by The Trammps was definitely banned!

Sadly, I never made it to my junior or senior prom. I broke up with my boyfriend of two and a half years after finding out he was cheating on me with my best friend's younger sister. That was the day before the prom, so I had to take my dress back to the rental shop. I didn't make it to the senior one because I had a camping field trip with my science class that I was much happier going to instead, since the one guy I wanted to go with (who looked like James) wouldn't give me the time of day and didn't even know I existed. Ah, it's just as well. I wasn't really into preppy affairs. I still stand by my answers above though, given the opportunity.

Hmmm. We will have to have a "Virtual JMB Spring Formal" We could meet in a chat room, bring out "ideal' dates, wear our "ideal" dresses, have cookies from the dark side, smoke dubious things, and set the message board on fire! I'm going to have Stig programmed with a "boogie" subroutine and dance the night away.

Uh oh, I think I better include a cloning machine at our Virtual JMB Spring Formal.
Just a few notes on that as well. No caravans in the parking lot. The "clothing optional" section is on the other side of the divider in the gymnaseum, kindly do not show your "thongage" until you are past the divider.
Thanks, now Keep Calm & Carry On!

We didn't have school dances, just the local blue light Police discos. I think I spent more time outside smoking and setting fire to things than dancing inside. I probably would have gone for James although he would have been too much of a goody-two shoes for our crowd

Definately would've gone with James given the oppurtunity. He could've done his irish jig lol, I've always been a terrible dancer and I would've enjoyed the jig, lol. ;D

*thinks on it* ... Yeah, James would still be the one for me. Even my younger self would've preferred the nerdy musical type over the other two! ;D
