;D Hello All. Thanks for welcoming me to the JMB gang. There are posts with pictures of the "Young" and green looking Mr. May. There are pics of Mr. Clarkson with his 80's hair . Does anyone have a "Young" pic of Mr. Hammond ? My question is, if you were or are 17 and there is a big formal dance coming up. Which one of the "young" 3 would you go with? From the pics I've seen -- I'd do the unthinkable and pick Jezza. Even though I know he'd only break my heart, spine, will, etc. Thoughts ladies? ;D

Clarkson too. There is something about him even at an early age. Richard looked too much like a spaniel back then and has grown into his looks and James............ he looks better now too.

It would be a toss up between James and Jeremy. Jeremy would probably break my heart. We'd probably break up right before the dance, so I'd just stay at home. If James asked me, we'd probably go, eat the snacks and drink punch the whole time (spiking it with 101 or rum, of course, so we don't have to be sober to be around the knobs, jocks, and preppies), and laugh at everyone else dancing. ;D We'd probably go out to the football field, smoke (since I used to at the time), and complain about the choice of music and people there.

Mojo, I don't know if Jezza would dance. Hmmm. If he didnt' I might come over and ask James if he would. Every musician I've every dated couldn't dance worth a burnt match. I did date a club DJ though and he could dance. He had the Jezza 80's hair too! (But then it was the 80's.) Right after you broke my arm, I'd go back to Jezza.

When I was 17 Richard may have been a little young for me, though if it were a magicy type thing and they were all, say, 19, I suspect I'd have gone with whichever one asked me, I didn't get asked very often!
But my first choice then would have been Richard. He had long hair and rode a bike.

I think Richard would have been my choice too at 17. Long hair and a bit of a rebel. I loved guys with really long hair when I was a teen.

There's a video when they were visiting the troops last winter (or at least their used to be in YouTube) and I'm sorry but both of them dance like my dad. My dancing ain't much better. I've got two left feet. Slow dancing would probably be alright though, especially with James.

Wasn't Richard a goth or something when he was younger? Have to admit it would still be James. Jeremy looks like the type of person I'd have hated at school. And Richard, well I don't know why not, but just not. The only piccy I have of any of them younger is of Hammond from his radio show days, screencapped (badly) from TopGear.

Oh Lord. He looks like Kevin DuBrow in the face. James looks gorgeous in that picture though.

The lead singer of Quiet Riot. They did a couple of Slade cover songs that got really popular in 1984 and had some funny music videos.

I would have probably gone for Rich because he had long hair, bit of a rebel and that's what I liked back then.
*denies completely that she is trying to get boyfriend to grow his hair*

I'd pick James because he'd probably be most likely to skip out on the dance and go do something more interesting. I hated school dances.

Will have to say James. Richard's big brown eyes are tempting, but think have more to talk about with James. Agree with rwhip923, never liked school dances

He's 24 here awwww Oh goodness! I've never seen it before, and I certainly don't see it in Richard today, but there's something about this photo that reminds me of my first boyfriend. I think it's the eyes, the grin and the hair that do it. Back then, when we were 17, he was a long haired rebel with a motorbike. Now he's still lovely, but he's doing something very clever and has a PhD in Bioinformatics! But it would have definitely been Jezza for me. Apart from being tall, posh and gorgeous (a combination that will always work for me), he did claim to have a nifty sideline in seduction back in the day, so I'm thinking we could have found something far more fun than dancing to do...

I went to 4 dances, in the guise of yearbook (photos and stuff) I had a ok time but I remember the clouds of pot smoke above the crowd. I was never asked but I suspect a 'James' would have been my date. And I'd imagine we do something a bit more interesting than be at the dance.

I was never the sort to be invited to school dances - far too geeky/nerdy and nowhere near girly enough. I was mates with the guys in school - they would never have seen me as 'date' material. *sigh* But as we're talking hypothetical dance here, I would have to break with me usual tradition and say Jezza, acos in my dim and distant yoof, I was certainly drawn to rebellious types, and we all know Jezza is that ;D
