Jezza and James got introduced to Nelson Mandela while they were in South Africa. Guess what James was wearing. ;D
This, I now felt, would not sit well with the other books in Mr Mandela’s substantial library — books given to him by Alexander Haig and Boutros Boutros-Ghali and Mother Teresa. Elegant books. Important books. Hardback books. Not a lime-green paperback about why I want to tie Peter Mandelson to the front of a van.
Things were worse for May, though, because he too had brought a copy of his book — How to Repair Aluminium Lugs and Other Work with Aluminium — and, much to Mr Mandela’s amusement, was wearing the same shirt as he was on the cover.
