I suspect he may have been presented with a tie and cufflinks - another comment on his level of sartorial elegance.

Exactly my point. Actually, the ensemble looked better 'moving', when James was being interviewed, so perhaps it just doesn't photograph well!

That jacket somehow reminds me of my grandmother. I have no idea why. (This isn't the first time I've had that thought whilst pondering James's wardrobe. ;D)

James at Aintree today. Erm...... don't know whether that jacket works with that shirt, James.I like the jacket... but it's too small for James. I'll be happy to steal it from him and wear it myself Like a "boyfriend blazer" (And while we're on the subject, I'll be happy to see if his other clothes will fit me too ;D )

Just wondering: how difficult is it to receive a knighthood? James has done some remarkable things in his life. Would his work make him a potential candidate for a knighthood? Or, is there much more that needs to happen before he would ever be considered?

Or, is there much more that needs to happen before he would ever be considered? He's not knighthood material yet! ;D The quickest way to a knighthood is to give lots and lots of money to the political party that happens to be in power. Otherwise, for media types it's given for "services to..." and, however much we love him, we can't pretend he's achieved quite that much yet. First hurdle would be a Bafta - and good luck with that

Unless there's a way we could successfully petition the powers that be to add a "because he's a cool badass" category?

Actually, in a few years's time if James continues to develop his educational work with the Open University through documentaries such as Big Ideas and 20th Century, I could just see him creeping into MBE/OBE territory. National Treasure, and all that.
Jeremy will undoubtedly always be too controversial, and Richard I suspect will eventually have a steady career in TV presentation, albeit not honour-worthy.

SIR James May, that would be awesome. Lord May, of Bristol. hahaha. To be fair, I hope to God he does get an award like that, because he deserves it. I've learned more from James than I did in school.

I knight of the realm he looks Sir May.... ;D Now look here. I've recently been distracted by this thing called life and was, dare I say it, losing interest in this particular Sir. I was actually quite content with that happening. These images are not helpful. *sees drawing board* *goes back to it* Where's that blasted bus??!

For those wondering, photobucket has been mean to me since I have uploaded too many pictures at a time and exceeded the limit of 10G (or something like that) per month. It'll reset to 0 around the 21st I believe. (shakes fist at Photobucket).

EV, when they said they were cutting you off, how long are they giving you before putting you back on? I had an e-mail warning me that if I went over I would be off for a full month. I didn't even know Photobucket had an upper limit and, be warned, ladies who use Photobucket, their webpages still say 'unlimited' storage space for free accounts, but that's clearly not true.

They just told me until the 21st then they would turn it back on (or reset the upload to 0, which sounds like what they do every 30 days); I'm not sure why they said "unlimited" storage space for free accounts. And you're right Dit, that clearly does not seem to be the case. I haven't been able to figure out Flikr yet, but once I do, I may switch over there if PB keeps cutting me off. And they are cutting you off for an entire month? Holy cow! That seems rather drastic. I'm not sure why it would reset you more than 30 days. I guess I was coming up to the last few days before mine reset to 0.
