Much better episode (although I missed the first 10 minutes or so, so missed any reference to the injured one). Particularly liked Michael Fassbender, which is why I had to hold back giving it a 10/10. ;D Particularly enjoyed the Bentley piece, and interesting they threw in an India Special comment. Richard's hair gets more and more peculiar though.

I liked this weeks episode better than last - and I quite liked that.
Was anyone else calling the Fisker a Fusker? Nice car. For an eco car it was quite stylish. I quite liked the leaf encased in glass. It might not be the fastest of machines but it would turn heads. Mr AC/DC was a nice surprise. He must be a sight wombling down the road in that vintage monster. I think it was a Bentley. However James really does need to work on that geordie accent!
Prosche really do need to get their designers eyes checked as that car never changes. There is nothing different, as Jeremy showed the audience. They might put a different engine in it, but the body never changes! At least add some detail to the bodywork, Porsche!
I enjoyed Jezza's power sliding in Sweden. That Bentley does look a bit of a porker, but it handled better on the ice than the Ferrari. For the looks I would have the Ferrari, but the Bentley looked classy.
I actually didn't know who SITRPC was although I had seen one of his films.
The motorbility scooter challenge was brilliant! James almost wrecking the pie shop! Then Richard had a race with a woman and she won. The scooters were a good idea and alot cheaper than what you can actually buy. However James and his Stephen Hawking chair were rubbish in the field. Good job he found a pub.
Overall I was a very happy bunny at the end of the show. I'll give it a 9

I think this was my favourite episode so far.I particularly liked the mobility scooter section, and the very sound advice the TG 3 gave to car manufactuers at the end of the programme. I have a few disabled friends that use wheel chairs/ mobility scooters, that would love the chance to roam the countryside. James with Brian Johnson was a treat, Jeremy in Sweden was fantastic. I have never heard of the SIRPC, but there again I'm not much into modern films.

I'm not sure which one I like better for the season, it's either this one or the one where they went to Italy. That was quite good. I'll probably rank an 8.

I enjoyed this one as well. James didn't look too terribly hurt. Which is good.

Gosh, this was a fine episode. Not sure where to turn first. So many good things I could say but the ladies have pretty much covered it so far. Really enjoyed the cinematography (if that's the word), music and sound in Jeremy's piece. Very dramatic. Think how boring it could have been, two cars driving around on a snowy day on a snowy lake. *yawn* Not much in the way of scenery to fall back on. If anyone is interested here's a link to a small piece of music from that piece of film. Elizabeth,The Golden Age: Opening- Craig Armstrong and A.R. Rahman www.youtube.com/watch?v=ErNxh5GTNIo

I'm very harsh usually, when scoring, but this time it's the full ten. I thought that last night was the perfect balance of what we have come to expect from TG.

i thought this was a much better episode than last weeks. I particularly liked the Bentley segment - want one of those now I got the impression he quite liked Brian’s Bentley! The mobility scooters were very funny, quite ingenious in some ways! Pleased to see James wasn’t or didn’t appear to be in too much pain – must get me some of what ever it was he was taking! Was lifting the crate of beer at the end a wise move with a damaged sternum??? Mmm not so sure on that one! Ly – so with you on Richards hair!! I'm sending him a comb and some hair gel ;D

A mighty fine episode indeed! Am going to give it a 9 for sure!! Loved the scootmobiles, loved James in a vegan car, loved... everything!! Defo better than last week's. Did anyone notice he was in agony and touched his chest?

Probably not agony but some discomfort at least. He'll be in that state for at least 3-6 weeks while it heals completely.
Jeremy's right, the Porsches never change the body style and it's so old! Why can't they get a radical bodystyle overhaul like the newer beetle? For that matter the Morgans as well.

I gave the episode a 9. James's Fisker bit was great, and I also enjoyed Jeremy's tests of the Ferrari and Bentley. The mobility scooters bit was GREAT. I wasn't too big on the SIARPC, but I usually never am. The news segment is usually one of my favorite parts, and I thought this week's was a bit dry and short...but it probably makes sense that they would do that with James's injury. It was incredibly like him not to mention being hurt at all. How many times in the past few weeks has Jeremy mentioned his cold? lol.

If anyone is interested here's a link to a small piece of music from that piece of film. Elizabeth,The Golden Age: Opening- Craig Armstrong and A.R. Rahman Thanks so much for that, adrianmay. That piece of music was so moving, I was going to ask if anyone knew what it was. I enjoyed this episode a lot more than last week's! I did wince a bit when James picked up that crate of beer. But I reckon it would be just like him to think that in the presence of three blokes who'd lost limbs in battle, he wasn't going to make a girly fuss about a mere broken bone.

Last year I emailled some people connected to TG a mad, mad story. If you liked this episode you may like to take a read of this. It's posted under Mobility Scooters in the Fiction section.

TEN!!!!! Thought this was the best episode yet. James piece on the Fisker was great.... But I did keep thinking of Fusker RiP and yes the mobility scooter segment was hilarious. Hubby and I were laughing so much at that. James trying to get into the pub was classic! Felt like it was a "proper" Top Gear. Brilliant!

I gave this a 9, and I agree with what MoA said about this episode of TG being more balanced. I do love episodes where the 3 have to be separately creative to try and solve a problem/win a challenge.
I kept thinking I was hearing James say "Fusker" instead of "Fisker". Either way, I love that car. Someday when I get a spare $116,000, I'll get one. I also enjoyed Jeremy's nod to the India Special.

Really enjoyed this week's episode. Richard's hair is becoming a mystery to me ;D But hey, it is his hair, his choice I was LMAO during the challenge, that was classic TG!

I've given it a 9. Great episode, very well balanced. The mobility scooters were hilarious, loved the camera work in Jeremy's piece...basically everything that's already been said. (But I do like Richard's hair. )

I think I'm going to give this episode a 9. It was loads better than last week's. Again, I didn't know who the SIARPC was. Apparently I've not seen any of his films nor have I heard his name before. I'm guessing his interview was a bit boring for me. I started cleaning the typewriter keys. I liked James' review of the Fisker Karma. I didn't really care how 'green' it was or whether or not it had any leather in it, but I liked how it was designed to work. They've nicked James' idea! ;D That Bentley was great! It looked so much better than the Ferrari! And Jeremy, I seem to remember you arguing with James about NOT needing 4-wheel drive on the ice. Does the Top Gear Winter Olympics ring a bell?? ;D The mobility scooters were wonderful. It seemed rather fitting that when James finally found a pub, he couldn't get inside.

I'd give it a 9 - must leave room for improvement... How could you not like a program with Brian Johnson in it? ;D Not to mention his car. The mobility scooter part was absolutely brilliant - even if I did feel a bit frustrated when they didn't seem to get anywhere, but still.

(I'm whispering this, as I know it's not really allowed) In the Series 18 Episode 3 thread, it was asked ....how did you see it? I can't see an upload link on here. HELP! There were suggestions about torrents and using links on Final Gear. I've looked up torrents (it seems to be all they do on FG) on Wikipedia and it's clearly way beyond my technical capabilities. Are there any reliable (ie non-dodgy) sites still doing basic uploading? I'd just got my head round being able to save episodes and now I'm being deprived - I stop dead at 18.1 (as I imagine many people do). If it's more appropriate to PM me, please do.

Torrents really aren't all that hard. You just need to download the er... downloader. I suggest uTorrent for Windows and Vuze for Mac. Once you have that, click the link to download the torrent, open it in your torrent downlaoder (uTorrent or Vuze) and off you go! The torrent will download and then the file will be saved somewhere on your computer.
