Only one possible mark from me - it's a straight 10 I knew it was going to be good when I was there on Wednesday, but you can't quite tell how it's going to come out and what's going to be cut - an edit can make or break a show like that. Really enjoyed how Kimi Raikkonen's interview came across, because he's extremely dry but very naturally funny, and I laughed a lot during the interview. Slash came across brilliantly as well - I was amazed at how affable and laid back he was, and that came over too. I would love an extended cut of that interview, because his life story was fascinating. There was a lovely segment about how he joins in with carpooling on the school run, and how the parents react to having him turn up to take their kids to school The films were all wonderful. I loved the air of positivity about the two solo films - Richard clearly genuinely enjoyed the M5 and as for James, it's a wonderful thing to meet your hero and not be disappointed (a bit like the first time I went out in Gerald, only rather more expensive, and without the inevitable agony that comes when a delicate old car like that breaks down, which it will). Both very different, and both very 'them'. And the racing film, what can I say? It's making me give my savings account some very funny looks... I love when the boys properly try, and I really like seeing them actually drive. They're better drivers than people give them credit for, especially Jeremy, and things like that demonstrate it really well. If that's the result of them really trying, then perhaps that's what they need to do! And that ending! I had to pinch myself when I saw it happen, and I can't quite believe even now that it really did happen! I think I was about 16 when Appetite for Destruction came out and it was one of those albums that changed things, and it was Slash I admired most in G'n'R. He was just so cool, and he played in such a unique way. I happened to have it on my phone because I downloaded it a couple of months ago on a wave of nostalgia, and I listened to it all the way home. What was funny was that when he finished the SIARPC interview, Jeremy was supposed to keep that bit as a surprise, but he was just so excited and bubbling that he couldn't keep it to himself! So yes. That's got to go down as one of the classics. Been a while since we've had one of those, but that was a properly, properly epic episode. Not a single foot wrong. www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.3213506090669.2149685.1056803747&type=1&l=defffd9db4Here are my photos, if anyone wants a look

Can't believe the series is over already. The best one in many years. I just wonder: in the trailer in the first episode, there was a clip of James in an aeroplane. Did I miss something or was that segment not in the series?

Did I miss something or was that segment not in the series? That one didn't make the final edit this time round - wouldn't be surprised if it pops up in series 19 though...

I'd had a feeling the plane on the track segment was missing, so I'll live in hope for the next series! Tonight's programme just proved how clever the editing is with TG and what a shame it is that so many things have to be left out. The full-length Slash interview was fascinating on Wednesday and I agree, it's a shame it can't be seen in full. The other thing that strikes me is that some links seemed to be much longer when they were being filmed, but of course that was because of all the buggering about and silly stuff, which were possibly the best bits of all. I'm giving this a 10, not just because I was there (and I was just visible in the final section, though I hadn't intended it) but because I thought that, like last week, it was a cracking episode. I really think this season has seen the guys back on form, though some newspaper reviewers seem to have had a down on them - those people have clearly been watching different programmes! I gave it a "7"
I thought that the Kimi Räikkönen interview was incredibly boring. Clarkson was trying his best to hold the interview, but he seemed an incredibly dull person. His humour was dry but I think I fell into a coma at that point so not sure entirely what had been said.
Slash was ok, but again just another celebrity plugging his latest thing. I wish they would cut the whole "star in the car" thing.
The Clubmans Rallycross was really good. It would be a fantastic thing to do, but however, as they stated at the end "rather costly". It did look amazing though and was very entertaining.
I also really enjoyed James driving Chris Evans' California. I listen to Chris Evans and he mentioned the day that was filmed. He was crapping himself all day in case it got damaged.
The new M5.... oh no.... that just means that the cocks that drive Beemas will now be up your arse even more. Oh No!!!!!

Great last show. This has been one of the stronger series for a while. The guys have given some great reviews and some stuff to ponder about. I loved the Chris Evans bit. How much would I love to spend the day in his garage??!! James was making me laugh when he took that fezza for a stroll. He actually suited the car. Pinky n Perky wouldn't have looked as cool.
I enjoyed the racing and would seriously love to do that myself. I do admit to being a bit if a boy racer and like to burn the young guys off at the lights!!! *such a child* I even spotted Dit at the end!
I'm giving it a 9

I gave this an unequivocal 10. It was great to see them having fun!In Jeremy's column today he mentioned that his ear problems made it hard for the interviews because the guests had soft voices. I won't ruin the end for those that haven't seen it but wow, Dwayne Allman should be smiling! Love the last remark.

It was a great final show,I truly wanted to kick James out of the California and get in myself.I have loved the California since Ferris Bueller. The Slash interview was good quite surprised to know that he hails from Stoke were I currently live. The rally racing was great it's always a joy to see them all excited. I'm going to give them a 10.

I'm in love with Chris Evans' garage contents ;D I had a poster of the Ferrari Claifornia once - don't know about kicking him out Antonia, i just wanting to jump in with him!! Sort of know the uncertainty James must have felt driving a car worth 5 million quid, bet he was clenched in there at times! Chris remarked this morning on his show that he knew (obviously!) that TG were coming to film his collection but wasn't aware that James was going to ask to drive the California, so Chris' expression was one of true shock and horror he too was clenching when it went dark and James still wasn't back!!! The rally film was brill - truly a grand day out for the boys! I could have done without Kimi - switched off after the first minute, sorry F1 fans Slash was brill - i think he should play out at the end of every episode! A great finale well done chaps Roll on the autumn ;D

Maybe a Matchbox model? Haven't seen this one yet cos had family round, but it' recorded (I hope!) so I'll watch it tonight. It sounds like Slash played live maybe? Excellent! I saw him play live at Glasto and he was absolutely fantastic - the band had us all up and headbanging!

Can't open that link, Dit. However, it's also been mentioned over on FG so, at the risk of being repetitive, I'll repeat the comment I made over there. I can remember James and/or Chris writing about this at the time. I didn't associate that with last night's film though. My theory is that they didn't show the film immediately after it was made, and have had to wait until now for James's hair to grow back - for continuity purposes. I must admit I was surprised to see that old blue anorak - should have been a clue.

That made me laugh - thanks for sharing!

However, I think your planning has gone seriously awry. Our combined winnings should allow us to purchase the tools necessary for successful auto theft. If Ferris could do it, so can we.

Good show again - I enjoyed the rallying - the driving particularly. I felt sorry for James of course, although he didn't have the best kind of car for rallying I suspect.
I loved the California segment - what a beauty, just like the driver.
Kimi did little for me - but Slash I enjoyed. I was surprised at how rock n roll he wasn't, until the end. I would have enjoyed his guitar rendition of Jessica so much: Dit and Wy - you are lucky women indeed!
