Thank god for look-a-likes, eh? ;D Take Matthijs van Nieuwkerk for example. He appears on our screens every weekday to bring us topical news and plugs of new things (quite diverse) and he's just lovely. And he really rather reminds me of James... The same - well, hair, that's an obvious one, but also posture, geeky laugh and piercing eyes. They even have a similar taste in shirts! Only major difference, as far as I can see, is the nose, but I don't let it distract me too much. I just think it's a comfortable thought, that James has his clones. It makes believe there has to be one out there for all of us... ;D EVIDENCE:

I couldn't comment on the laugh, as I haven't heard it, but I can see where you're going with the rest of it! ;D

um, oh dear. James is far more handsome! So very true... *sighs* But seeing blokes like Matthijs keeps me happy on a daily basis. ;D (What, with James only being on twice a week...)

Ah, yes I'm definitely seeing it - same taste in shirts, though the way he's squinting and hunched forward in that picture makes it appear as if he is myopic/short-sighted.

Yes, Suki I definitely see the resemblance. He is certainly taking style tips from the May. Though he lacks James's quintessential Englishness, for obvious reasons. ;D

Nope. James is much better looking. There can only be one - there is no other.

What - you mean this handsome chap? His beauty is ostensibly so transcendent, that no mortal can appreciate it.

I know, I know! I was wishing it too! It was such a scary moment that well, I was nearly sick... But in the half lit room with a nicer look in his face, he could have beenmistaken for him, for real. That photo doesnt help my case!!!!

I was looking at thumbnail pictures of James and I swear it could have almost been a young Paul McCartney.

There's a guy who drinks in my local who could easily be James's little brother. He has a similar haircut (or lack thereof) and similar dress sense and he no longer needs anyone to tell him who he looks like! He also sits & stands in a similar way... He's not doing himself any favours in the "No, I don't look like that bloke from Top Gear" stakes at all! I'll have to try and sneak a photo next time I see him. He went to my local goth night last weekend, which was, for some reason, hilarious. All these people bobbing around in long black clothes with long black hair and big black boots while he's propping up the bar in his jacket, trousers and comfortable looking shoes...

Finally managed to be in the same place as the guy from my local (oddly enough, not in my local!) and with my camera. Unfortunately, it was outside, he's quite camera shy and I'd had some beer, but I've done my best to tidy up the results and you might just be able to see what I mean

If the photo had been full length, it would have been even spookier - because of how he was standing, his trousers seemed to be having a row with his ankles, and I've seen that happen to our James occasionally... and with this ensemble (black jacket - very nice jacket, actually, black velvet, dark shirt and black jeans) this chap was wearing brown boots. No wonder the first time I met him, at the pub on halloween, I immediately snuck a photo to my friend with the message "somebody appears to have accidentally come to the party as James May!"

I was struck by the way he dresses, too, though obviously i cant see the bottoms of his trousers or brown boots. Dont spose he's single ?

Another similarity... is single in the sense of not being married, but has a girlfriend!
