Hello! I'm Barbara. I live in Massachusetts, USA. I slowly became a fan of Top Gear while flipping through channels. I'd catch a bit where one of them was critiquing a car and I would pause then think "It's a car show. I don't care about cars," but something drew me in anyway. I didn't become completely hooked until I saw one of the silly challenges. I love silliness. On second thought, I love seeing people doing something that they truly enjoy doing, that's probably what drew me in while I was flipping through the channels. I joined the forum last month, but this is my first post. I've been reading a lot ... like several hours a day or so ... not that I'm obsessed or anything ... no no no not me. The more I read, the more I want to comment, but the most fun stuff is in the smut section. I feel that my first post shouldn't be in the smut section. I'm a good girl. Well, I'm trying to be a good girl. I really enjoy reading all your posts. My husband has asked me more than once why I'm smiling "like that" at my laptop screen while I've been on here. I don't even realize that I'm smiling until he points it out, but as soon as he does I feel how big and goofy it is and it makes me even happier. Half the time it's because of a lovely picture of James that one of you posted (swoon!), the other half is witty, charming stuff that you guys write. You're all so silly. I love it. I decided that I needed to introduce myself so I could start joining in the fun when I looked at a picture of James walking pulling a suitcase and I thought "Oh! I can figure out the length of his pace from this picture!" thinking of the thread about how he lives 101 paces from his pub. I felt I know too much about this forum not to be posting. I did compute the distance just for fun! I'm good at math, and I like math, but only when it's something that interests me. And that's why I love Top Gear, James especially. He helps me to expand my mind, think, and better myself and stuff. Or something. yeah, that's it. Take care, Barb |
