I've really enjoyed all of these articles this morning. I agree with LIndenchase on the "punk" think. That was my first thought also.

I can see James throwing a bottle, tidying the mess up and apologising for any damage.

ahh, silly me! i read it as it being a staged thing (like the fake puncture...) as it would have been so out of character that it would have been funny... (even though he does get very passionate at times...) and no, sadly im not quite old enough to remember proper punk

I read these articles earlier before watching 20th Century and TG. Thank you all, for posting them. I don't think I'd ever want to get on James' bad side.

I've always preferred James's writing to anything he's done on television. Thought he was kind of cute, in a nerdy, droopy, sit-on-my-lap-Mr.-May sort of way. But good heavens, he's gotten quite handsome! I recall reading something about him saying he was dreading turning 50, but judging by how gracefully he's aged over the past few years, bring it on! These most recent photos are downright heart-stopping!

James, spotted you at the bottom of the A2 in Dover as we towed our twin axle to France. We were delighted to see that you had paired the Sprite with the obvious choice of towcar ....a 70's Rolls Corniche.... That should send one up the 4x4 boys... Good Luck! Posted by Rich1 on August 12, 2008 10:23 AMFrom the DT. Well how typical. I was in the area LAST WEEK.

Yes, be alert. I did keep an eye out although I knew he was still very much north. But he could descend upon you at any moment and you will be able to discuss caravans with him. ;D

*Dutch having a little thought that they may come to Holland to visit Heineken factory* I hope they do. They'll have a great time. I always love visiting the Heineken factory. There's so much to see and do there and the beer is great. I want to go back.

I thought he was in Scotland? What was he doing in Dover? They were in Ireland too apparently - they're covering a lot of ground. This series is going to be awesome.

That's great. If they visited the Guiness Brewery they would've really enjoyed themselves. It's one of my favourite ones to visit.

Do they still do tours of the Guinness brewery? Our guide when we were Ireland in May told us the new owners (Diageo) aren't keen on tours, that they only have a gift shop on site. Maybe she couldn't get tickets, so that was her excuse She took us to the Jameson's distillery instead, which is very nice. I imagine James 'n Oz will go with the lesser-known brands though. I'd love to see James visit the Fuller's brewery.

www.onthebox.com/program/3411333/rory-and-paddy's-great-british-adventure.aspx Heard about this show being trailed on the TV this morning. They seem to be the rage, but this one has a similar title to Oz and James' though it's on a different channel and about sporting events, with, however, a camper van, so more than one similarity. The hairy bikers are also doing a foody tour of Britain called The Hairy Bakers

I Wonder wildcat for the twenty quid you get a May with it.......nice t-shirt I too am wondering that, as WCH is good at sourcing James' T-shirts, maybe she can find the one you want, Lew!

I hope somebody manages to source one eventually, Lew I'm still trying but it is proving far more elusive than the Hurricane one. Lew, did you ever contact the Imperial War Museum about the Dig For Victory shirts? Going back to the source is the only thing I can think of because I've had no luck at all. And I do keep looking for you!
