Wow!
I always think those 'masks' like the SL300's wearing make the car look like it's about to rob a bank. Of course, with one of those you'd need to. I really do <3 them though.
I saw a Camaro wearing one last year. Now that really did look like it was up to no good. Probably following up on some recreational murdering with a spot of light burglary ;D

I saw a Maybach yesterday! It was driving past my local shops. At first when it came around the corner I thought it was just a regular Merc, but then it kept coming... and coming... and then there were 'tasteful' curtains in the back. God, it was vulgar!

Saw a Bentley T1 and a Rolls Royce Silver Shadow today, parked within two spaces of each other. The Bentley was exactly the same color as James' T2.

Just out of curiosity, was the Royce a Mk I or a Mk II? It's just that the T1 and the Mk I Shadow are built on the same platform (as are the T2 and the Mk II), so it would amuse me if the T1 was parked by a MkI Silver Shadow I'm very easily amused, aren't I?

I don't know for certain, but it looked like a II. I just happened to see the owner as he was getting inside.
Surprising morning, to walk around the corner to the coffee shop and see a flying Bentley B looking at me. The Bentley had a sign in the window saying what it was, which is the only way I know it was a T1.

Love these cars! My only problem with them is the age and the spare parts thing.
Having said that, I had 2 Mitsubishi FTOs (N plate and P plate) and loved them to bits, so what do I know?

I think I parked next to one of the Ferrari's that James has just bought last night... but a red one.... I was in between a soft top Rolls Royce and a Ferrari and had a sneaky peek at both. Living in the Middle East where the locals (i.e. the Arabs) have a rather large about of disposable cash it's quite common place to see the "higher end car" in the car park of the supermarket or shopping mall or to get cut up by said type of car (a Lamborghini tried to squash me earlier in the evening and as I'm in a Hummer I thought they were quite brave or stupid.... one of the 2!) and it was a white Lambo at that so I would not have felt bad driving over it..... which I probably could have done and not even noticed Anyway back to the Ferrari.... the one I drooled looked at last night was absolutely gorgeous, even though it was red it was not as "in your face" as I would have assumed it to be and did actually make me thing that may be Ferrari's should only come in red but having now read James's article about his new purchase I was gravely wrong.... the subtle grey sounds delicious. If I knew how to attach a photo I would but I'm a bit technically challenged and still can't figure out how to do it sorry

Thanks for the heads up Inky... I will have a go over the next few days ;D Yes the Hummer is very yummy I love my car even though it is a lumbering beast! With the way the Arabs drive here I feel safe in it though - which was why I chose it initially and it's good for off road / desert driving, which happens open in the Middle East for sure....

Today I saw the beaten-up Elise of yore - actually moving this time though ;D very VERY slowly through the slush near the house. And yesterday I saw something rather like this. A 911 Targa - not in that colour though, but verrry nice nonetheless. I almost dribbled.

By all reports, the first generation Hummer (the H1) was a genuine off-roader and a worthy all-terrain vehicle. It's the H2 and especially the H3 which have attracted contempt by retaining a gentrified trace of the original styling while keeping nothing else but the poor gas mileage.
Hang on, let me try to find an article....

Sorry I have a Hummer folks Please don't hate me It's not a stretched hideous thing like those above.... it's just a "normal" little baby H3.... it's lovely honest, you would like it... and I live in one of the worlds largest oil producing countries so gas (sorry petrol) is cheap so it's actually quite economical If you saw the state of the roads and the desert terrain I have to cope with you would know why I have one
