so do I.
The very latest Top Gear news and views from the usual team. Jeremy, Richard and James apply their minds to the question of what the British police should drive. Armed with no more than 1,000 pounds each, the Top Gear boys set out to buy a bargain priced police cruiser that can take part in a dramatic chase without fear of costing the taxpayer a packet if it gets broken. Meanwhile, James introduces a new member of the Top Gear team and steps aside so they can immediately make their mark on the show with a remarkable feat of daring. And as if that wasn't enough, Jeremy tears up the Top Gear track in the new Ferrari 430 Scuderia, the car that aims to put some passion back into the Italian supercar maker's increasingly nerdy and computerised stable. Plus there's a break from the norm as the Reasonably Priced Car welcomes a pair of stars in the contrasting shapes of the Friday Night Project's Alan Carr and Justin Lee Collins. All this, and some sound advice about how to deal with rising petrol prices.

It does seem to fuel the earlier paranoid posts of 'is he leaving?'... I'm trying not to read too much into it

Let's hope so eh? I don't know what's up with him lately, he's doing Thundersprint, not doing Thundersprint, is he doing the boatrace? Is he doing MPH? Now this!... I'm living on my nerves! lol

The rumour over on HH is that it's just another stunt person - a bit like The Stig but different. I don't think it's anything to worry about.

Andy Wilman talked about this in his blog... a 'Stig-type' who will do amazing stunts for our amusement... we've already got one... The Stig!! ;D Seriously, it's just the 'James steps aside' comment I object to!! Why??

Thank you I'm off to register my complaint forthwith!! As I've said, there's enough half-baked rumours doin' the rounds lately, without them adding fuel to the fire as well!! ;D

Why do people have to read something sinister in to such an innocuous comment? It's getting like DS on here

Well, that's good James is there to the end of the year. That's when the contracts are up, isn't it? I do hope Season 12 is not the end of such a fabulous era.

I hope it isn't. But it's better to leave at the top of your game.
It would be awful to see TG go into a slow decline and then axed for lack of interest. The boys appearing on "reality" telly, hosting naff game shows, coiffed hair, orange make-up, scripted jokes, teeth straightened, whitened. (Actually I'm sure that they would rather starve than do this! Jeremy and James anyway ;D ;D ;D)

from BBC page
The very latest Top Gear news and views from the usual team. Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May apply their minds to the question of what the British police should drive. At the moment Bobbies are forced to drive around in diesel hatchbacks, gingerly shuffling the steering wheel and letting criminals get away rather than risk scuffing their wheel trims. So, armed with no more than 1000 pounds each, the Top Gear crew set out to buy a bargain priced police cruiser that can take part in a dramatic chase without fear of costing the tax payer a packet if it gets broken.
Plus, there's a break from the norm as the Reasonably Priced Car welcomes a pair of stars in the contrasting shapes of the Friday Night Project's Alan Carr and Justin Lee Collins. All this, and some sound advice about how to deal with rising petrol prices. Top Gear is longer, stronger, faster, better and probably a bit more on fire than ever before.
