what is/was Tomorrow's World? It was a BBC show in the 80s and early 90s about future technologies. James would be the perfect presenter if they brought it back. I would be his dumb blond presenter.

I liked the Monty Python like cartoons too. There was one thing he said which i've forgotten now and I was still laughing several seconds later. ;D

That was fantastic! The geek in me adored it. I loved that all the complicated stuff was put into everyday language. The comparisons of each alternative was brilliant. The best part was James actually trying out most of the alternative methods of transport and giving us the viewer an insight on what it was like. The Harrier jet was also spectacular, definitely on a par with the EuroFigher moment. ;D I'm looking forward to next weeks robotics programme but that life like one is freaking me out a little. It is like a stuffed animal, there is no life behind the eyes.

Do you think the rocket belt used in the Radio Times shoot was the same one used in the programme or one mocked up to look like it? I have been comparing the pictures posted and I can't decide.

Hard to say after only one episode. In this episode his passion for flying shined (shone?) through, that made it good to watch.

Yes! The programme is carried by James's enthusiasm and his own curiosity about what he is looking at. In the Aerocar, it looked like he just wanted to break into the biggest smile. ;d Truly infectious

Shone, I think, Linden.
I think Twentieth Century was a bit different to this - it felt more like it was actually for an Open University course (which it was, really), but this was more like 'James May's hobbies, in televisual form'.
Does someone have a link for a torrent, please? My VCR did not work...

Really interesting programme. I enjoyed that very much.
One thing is for sure - I won't be whitening my teeth anytime soon. I used to use 3% H2O2 in work (diluted from 30%) and that was nasty enough. Don't fancy the idea of putting 5% in my mouth! ;D
Did anyone else chuckle at the enormous strap-on chopper comment?.... or is it just me with a dirty mind?

Yeah, as soon as he mentioned the teeth thing, I immediately thought of the TG taunting of Richard!
What a fab show though, I loved every moment! I am so looking forward to next week!!!
Please, BBC people if you are reading this, please bring it out on video!!!!!!!

OK, I have a question, how do you download torrents? They always confused me.
And doesn't he look lovely.
Can anybody put avi/wmv type files on to a DVD rom?

Um me too, I see a link and press download and off I go, though looking at a thread above I think you'll need broadband simply because it uses a huge amount juice and you'll be downloading for a year and a day on dial-up an arse sadly

Not something for me, that is why I make CD's/DVDs/DVD roms for people. Takes a bit longer but saves a hell of a lot of hassle in the long run.
