Apparently, it's 30 years today since TG appeared on our screens (although some say it was 1977 .) However, never one to miss an opportunity for some nostalgia here's the earliest Youtube I can find from circa 1988. Those were the days. www.youtube.com/watch?v=VMUy1EmUtlMAnd of course, Jeremy joined in 1989. www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ZV024ls9Z0&feature=relatedIf anyone can find an earlier one feel free. Post your favourites and your memories of Old TG, and new.

Already 30th years? Well happy birthday TG. Should this not be in the birthday thread also?

I thought it might get a bit lost up there as people don't always see the birthdays thread.

Happy Birthday TG. I remeber the old days - Angela Rippon, Noel Edmonds, William Woollard Didn't have quite the same appeal as now but I did watch it way back then

It was a long time ago. Many moons in fact and I've always had an eclectic taste in pretty much everything. Strange thing was I never fancied Jezza - but who can blame me back then. ;D

www.youtube.com/watch?v=Viwq9x9OkgMClip from 1999, with James no less. Which makes it the oldest footage I have ever seen from him. He looks and sounds a lot posher than he does now. (I guess that happens when you hang around Clarkson and Hammond long enough.) ;D

LOL. What is he wearing. Do you think his mum made it for him for Christmas. Rather endearing really.

I spose I'd better come out of the closet and admit that when I watched this report, back in 1991, I thought he looked... Gorgeous! It's funny how fashions change
