Some local faves from my neck of the woods (all of these folks live within a few miles of me, the rare times they're actually off the road and not touring). And, yes, we are a bit different down here from other places in the SE...lots of college rock meets indy music meets hillbilly meets swing influences here...needless to say, we like to dance and be characters down here. Just been revisiting an old favourite. www.youtube.com/watch?v=B4CRkpBGQzUI luff this song. It's actually one I can sing, because it's not too high for me. Most songs by women get too screechy for me to manage ;D

Common Rotation. Discovered them back in the Buffy days and I still love them to bits. Hope they come over here again one of these days. Wine'll do that.

Just got a great '80's cd. Reliving my youth!! Also, for some reason I am drawn to music from the Mighty Boosh - Eels. I also listen to bellydance music and love playing and listening to piano, like Clare de Lune (Debussy).

I would love to have seen it live. I had the CDs on in the truck the other day. I've taken delivery of Pacific Ocean Blue and Bambu by Dennis Wilson (Brians brother). It's a first time release on CD and was an Amazon recommendation. I need to listen to it a couple of times before I can say what I think of it.

I'm listening to the Due South soundtrack. It's probably not a great choice, to be honest, as I'm feeling a bit melancholy this evening.

Another song I'm hooked on these days is "Never Too Late" by Three Days Grace. Powerful song, it really effects me when I hear it. So does, "Who Knew" by Pink, and "Over You" by Daughtry. See? There are moments when I'm not too shallow musically after all?

How cool! I wish I was more musical sometimes - all I can play is drums LOL, i can't actually read music, but I can keep time. My mum wouldn't let me have a drum kit, due to lack of space, and the noise factor....but I do have a djembe, and *ahem - is a right scally* i found a bass drum in a skip last year, so I swiped it under cover of darkness. It lives in the shed. Maybe I'll assemble a kit, bit by tiny bit, one day. What do you play Manson?
