There are loads of us going to MPH and it would be cool to be able to meet each other so let's share when we're going (and to a lesser extent what we'll be wearing lol!)
I'm going on the:
Friday: Gold TGL at 6.30 pm Saturday: Platinum TGL at 6.30 Sunday: Gold TGL at 11.00
And I don't know what I'll wear yet... casual on gold days and a bit more dressier on the platinum day I gather!

Oh forgot to put up a fair warning: if I get excited at Motor shows and other such events, I can Scream very loudly.... you are warned!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings but can you please refrain from including references to the board on any items of clothing you have made for TGL. Many thanks.

I agree with Inky. IMHO, discretion is infinitely preferable in such circumstances. I intend to go to MPH on either Friday or Saturday; I haven't got a ticket yet. It depends who else is going on which day! I'll have to book a day's holiday, so it also depends on which one of those days I can get.

Can I just clarify the plan was to make myself clearly identifiable to fellow boardies and most definately NOT for JM's benefit (or lack thereof in my opinion) I think he's prob' scared of us as it is and I cant say I blame him.
Im thinking that a secret handshake might be more appropriate (jk)

I've had an idea... I have a badge maker. Could I make some badges, inconspicuous (spelling?) in design, that only MPH attendees know about?? We'd have to work out delivery as there may be people with reservations about us sharing addresses. Just a thought. By the way, can you say if you're going to London or Brum when you mention which day you're going? Cheers.

Sorry to interrupt, but I thought I should just say that I'm going to TGL @ 4:00 on the 1st of November. I am meeting Starfish and Dutchdiva hopefully, but I was just wondering who else is going on that day. ;D :)xX~LPS~Xx

Badges seem cool maybe they could have something on it that James really loves? That way we can recognize boardies and not mention the board?

I forgot to ask are there any good hotels nearby? I don't want to travel far or go far to get to my hotelroom when I want to during the day. Thanks!

We need to add Maibee, MF, Wy, Spud as well to the London MPH show, though I'm not too sure on which day they are attending or if they would be interested in such said article. You mentioned me! Such said article? Which article have I not read? DD I'm going to the 5.00 ish show on the Sunday. I'll be sat on my ownsome in the cheap seats! But presume I can hobnob with you! I think we might just be able to recognise each other. And 'course I know Star and MF too!

Oh just familiarised myself with the preceding comments! No, sorry I'm not a badge or a slogan T-shirt gal! Thanks for thinking of me though! ;D

WCH: Travel Lodges or Premier Inns are clean and basic and reasonably priced on a room only basis. I just tried the link for the night of 1 November and it comes up as £127 for one night, which I think sounds a lot, but then accommodation in London is expensive. Maybe you should PM Spud as she stays in London from time to time or alternatively ask XJ as she would definitely know where Spud usually stays. www.londontoolkit.com/accommodation/kensington_travel_lodge.htm

But pre/immediately after the show, I am indeed hobnobbing/eating/hanging with the gang so I guess its an open verdict then!

I'm not a slogan t-shirt type, as you know. My horror at such things was recently elevated to new heights when, for a promotion at work, I had to wear a "Mamma Mia!" t-shirt. The text was displayed over three lines, which meant I had "MAM" in large, brightly-coloured letters emblazoned across my 40F(ish) bosom. I was unamused. I may well wear my Catalina t-shirt though. I won't be hard to spot that way (unless I change my mind and wear a tailored shirt). There will be jeans and either Converse or cowboy boots, and probably some kind of tailored(ish) jacket if it's a bit nippy, but there won't be many short birds wandering around with a flying boat across their chests. But DD knows what I look like anyway I don't usually do badges, but could make an exception for a small, subtle button badge

I quite like them but then I like uniforms so I am odd! I wore a sash for a hen night last year which was good fun; its all good for me when in the name of fun!
