Don't worry about it being dropped - you don't necessarily eat the casing! Sometimes it's synthetic.

Black Puddings are similar to Haggis, except of course they are Black and made from Pigs Blood.

Haggis is nice if you don't think about what's in it, it is a very savoury taste and rather good with a single malt, though, in truth, it's a long time since I've eaten any. If you had haggis underneath mashed potato you'd probably think it was Shepherd's Pie. Probably wouldn't get the whisky with it, sadly. Saveloys are much the same as andouillettes, I think. I had no idea what they were when I tried them but still didn't like them at all. To this day I can't understand why they are thought of as such a delicacy in France! I grew up with andouilette sausage in Louisiana and love it. I know it's an acquired taste, if you don't like strong hickory. Have you ever had boudin (pronounced boo-dan)? I love the stuff. Like haggis, it's based on inards, but if you don't think about it, it's great eating. Boudin is ground meat, rice, and Cajun spices stuffed inside pig intestines. It's really good and goes great with beer also. You really can't get it anywhere else except southwest Louisiana.

Now if you want to try something whisky-ish I can fully recommend Irish Mist. It's a yummy mix of whisky, honey and herbs and absolutely perfect for cold misty (!) days.

That was hilarious. I was surprised James didn't pick it up and start smacking Oz with it.

Loving Oz's blindfolded grope in the direction of James' groin. Subtle, Clarke, very subtle.

Watched it and loved it. Although I wouldn't fancy fried mars bars.

I do too, god I eat strange things Another vote here for Black Pudding. I don't eat it often but always enjoy it when given the chance Thirded; love that stuff! What I loved in this episode was how shy James gets sometimes! When he meets the chaps in the heather and seems to start barbling and keeps his head down for the introduction. OK I ADMIT: The part at the end when he goes all deep and meaningful about the whiskey... I did actually cry. There is something about that man and his words... He just knows what to say to kill you!

Oh yes that was one good one. He just moved at the right time. A few seconds later and we would have a part of the film that would have been lost on the editing floor :-)

Bull's p*nis probably isn't that bad, it's the idea rather than the taste. I've eaten some weird things, like snake (rather bland), grasshopper (surprisingly tasty) and lama (stick with cows). I always like to give weird food stuff a try. But I have to say that the idea alone of deep fried mars bars makes me nauseous.

I like that James backed away just in time, like Dutch said. Otherwise, if they did an edit, most people would wonder why Oz had a black eye afterward. James wearing the blindfold as a bandana after was gorgeous. I also love the end too, Stig. It's very touching listening to him. You can almost picture it perfectly when he describes it and feel those same emotions. He sure knows how to pull at your heart strings. <3
