My favourite was a hot hatch with: IMA 20L which I read as "I'm a tool". Maybe an ID10T error on my part and yet still appropriate... ;D

I'll have to keep my eyes open and see if I find any recent ones. I haven't seen any funny ones lately though.

Here's one I was following in town this morning that may be of interest to Lew. There was a car with your board name in the number plate. It read:

Hopefully my next one will have VIX at the end, I'm going to ask if that's ok. That way, it'll be personalised, but not personalised ;D

Yesterday I saw an Alfa Romeo GTV with the plate J** GTV. I also saw a Bentley Continental GT with the plate MED 1A (arranged as MED1A). OK, it was outside a TV studio, but it still made me cringe!

I don't think I have ever seen a funny one. There is a woman, the woman who owns the post office here and every time she gets a new car, her number plate is always the same, UXI then a single digit number. I didn't know you could keep a number plate.

I didn't think you could either. I thought it was cradle to grave. From what I've learned this past week, personalised plates are temporary if the person who got one sells the car. I'm not sure how it works, person to person, but if the person sells the car to a dealer, the dealer has to go through DVLA to get the original number plate back. At least, that's what's happening with my new car.

But the person who sells the car with the personal plate on it, if they want to keep the personal plate for their new car, how do they go about that?
