Radio star You might know that Richard Hammond started his career in radio (hilariously, on a local radio show called the Late Night Love In, but we won’t dwell on that).
The microphone didn’t do justice to his dashing good looks though, so he got in front of a telly camera instead. And we’re glad he did, cos Top Gear looks better with him on it. But today, Hamster’s going back to his roots, and broadcasting over the old wireless again. Or DAB, if you’re a technophile. Anyway, he’ll be on Simon Mayo’s show at 2pm on Radio Five Live. And we reckon you should tune in. He’ll be talking about the new series of Top Gear (we’ve got the trailer for it here on TopGear.com, so take a look), as well as his new book, and everything else he crams into his busy schedule. You know, things like TV commercials and ribbon-cutting ceremonies. Oh, and he’ll be talking about the scrapping of speed cameras in Swindon, so expect loads of calls from angry protesters with lots to say for themselves. Go on Richard, give ’em what for. We’ll be listening, will you?
