The Guardian is not bashing Top Gear in any way. The Guardian is merely reporting the fact that there have been complaints about the BBC's collaborating with Clarion.

Agree with 90% of the comments made; that is the WORST link imaginable! It shocks me sometimes; the lack of quality journalism around at the moment, considering the fantastic content there is available!

People who write and read the Guardian are a bunch of a***holes and they very obviously don't have a life or a sense of humour.
I would not give it any attention, it certainly doesn't deserve it.

And if you now could bother to actually read the article, you could see that - as I have posted before - the Guardian is merely reporting a fact. (That's what proper newspapers do.) It's the fact that there have been some complaints about the BBC's collaboration with Clarion. Noone is bashing TopGear. For more info: www.ekklesia.co.uk/node/7880

I was thinking about The Guardian newspaper in general, they are always so self-righteous and critical of everything. They have a knack of picking out one small thing and turning it into a crisis.

I just think its sad that these (albeit valid) comments have to be brought up now the shows have started. The MPH and top gear live has been advertised for some time now yet these discussions haven't occurred until now. Is this to get the most attention??

Maybe it was just a slow news day in the office.

Its sad that its rarely a NICE productive thing they say about TG. Except for the one in the London lite about Richard's evil kinevil thing!

Is this to get the most attention?? Of course it is. I don't think the people behind The Campaign Against Arms Trade (CAAT) ever expected the BBC to cancel their involvement into MPH for this year. It's a way to get attention to the fact that the same people who bring you MPH, the Baby Show and the Spirit of Christmas Fair, also organise several Arms fairs, where human-right abusing countries such as Libya do their shopping. In the case of the BabyShow this has already lead to several sponsors backing out. A thread by the BBC to to do the same with MPH might be reason for Clarion to reconsider the Arm fairs. And if not, the BBC could organise TopGearLive away from MPH.
