(Male) Friends who say they will come round & go out for a pizza with you, then ring once, mobile cuts off this end without even registering the number, so they don't bother again, then text you 6 hours later, when it's too late.

Speaking of Creme Eggs, despite assurances last year Cadbury's are STILL using battery- sourced egg in this product. So boo to Cadbury's and *clang* into the Sin Bin with you!

Man-flu... if my hubby tells me one more time where he's aching, I'll give a few more places! My friend who was rushed to hospital just before new year had her husband complaining to her when she came home "I've got what you had!" "Oh," she replied, "You have post-hysterectomy pyelonephritis and septicaemia? I suspect you just have Man Flu."

I can just hear her saying that too And on the subject of Creme Eggs, boo hiss to Cadbury's. They should know better. I like chickens. I met some ex-battery hens before Christmas and they were fab - if I ever get chickens, I'm going to get them from the chicken rescue people. SORT IT OUT, CADBURY'S!

The Boden catalogue.
The thing is, I know it's where Mr May gets some of his shirts, but really, it's full of lots of sensible, well made, well cut classic clothes that are timeless and will never date, but do look like they'll wash and wear and generally take a battering - none of this Primark sweatshop nonsense that will fall apart in five minutes.
In short, the contents of the Boden catalogue are Sensible, with an upper-case 'S'.
The problem is I was flicking through it at a friend's house a couple of evenings ago and I realised that actually, I could much more see myself wearing some of the items within than anything from any of the so-called 'trendy' (or whatever the trendy word for 'trendy' is) high street fashion stores. It ultimately led to foolishness involving the non-purchase of a Christmas present and a prune-coloured velvet blazer. I'm not going to forgive that one easily.
But more to the point, I'm not going to forgive myself. I have eased into the wardrobe of the 30-something. So I'm not sure whether it's Boden that belongs in here, or me.

Hold on you mean cadbury's creame eggs contain egg? *sorry for stupid question* Indeed- it's one of the ingredients, and a product that markets itself on the back of Easter and the whole fluffy cute chick thing should be ashamed frankly. I have ex-battery hens and the state of them when I got them horrified everyone (they are fantastic now)

I have ex-battery hens and the state of them when I got them horrified everyone (they are fantastic now) Well until they sort that out it's no easter eggs for me. I always have free-range eggs. It's horrible to think your eating something that came from an animal cooped up in a squallid place. There we go something for the sin bin. People who abuse animals.
