Now that's MY kind of documentary. Proper blokes, a proper car and a couple of my favourite petrolheads - not only Jeremy but Jay Leno too! I suspect it will have a very limited release here, but I think I might start petitioning my local cinema to bring it in (almost a pity I'm not still working there...).

After seeing the trailer, I can't figure out whether this is a serious documentary or a movie piss-take of a documentary in a comedy style.
Also, how was this Jeremy news kept so quiet?

I don't think it was (kept quiet, that is)... it was mentioned on the site a while back and now the trailer's available they've brought it up again

No it's not a mockumentary as they are called, I think it's the serious thing

Can't wait to see this. I really like Eric Bana. He's an awesome bloke and has done some awesome movies (The Castle, Chopper, I think he was in Black Hawk Down, Munich, Hulk, a few other films I don't seem to remember). I didn't know he was a petrolhead though and that Falcon looks fab.

Great! Wonder how it will be released? To everywhere, because he is a well known (not to me) actor or just in some cinemas?

I just got back from seeing the movie and LOVED it!
Jeremy was in it four times (five if you include the credits - stay for the credits if you go) and was hilarious and poignant but if you are going just for him you will probably wish he was in it more.
As a car/motorsport lover and someone who works in motorsport I though it was perfect at portraying why we love cars and racing and how it affects us all. So many people in it that I know and have worked with which was quite amusing.
It had people laughing out loud in the cinema and some even clapped at the end.
For non car/motorsport lovers it may give you an insight into our psyche and understand us better lol

Thank you for the review, Misspan. I love the car they used in it, from what I saw of the trailer too. It's a beautiful beast. I get very emotionally attached to my cars, so I can imagine how this will be. I'm hoping to see it too when it comes to the UK. Thank you again.

I went and saw it last night with Dad. It was a very good movie. Maybe not the best directed movie (Eric's first gig as director) but bugger that.
It's so weird seeing Eric Bana, Jeremy Clarkson, Jay Leno and Dr Phil in the same montage at the start of the film. The film makes you wanna see what happens next and how it got to that point in the story.
What they have in common is this: They see the car more than just a piece of metal. And that's what the movie is all about. There's something about cars that gives us an emotion towards them.
I thought it was great what they did at the end (you'll have to watch the movie to see what I mean) and stay around for the credits.
Clarkson, Leno and Dr Phil are the sages of the combustion engine. And Eric Bana is such a nice guy, you feel so sorry for him and don't realise that he's a big movie star.
Do see it when it comes out in Europe.
