It would be great if he came to Scotland, the only famous person i've met in Scotland was Matt Willis when he came out of the Jungle ;D ;D I ran after him to his car but you don't need to know that

I would sign the "bring James to Scotland" petition. For the record I've never chased the cars of members of Busted

Hi, Melie, and welcome Some of you ladies were discussing perfume. There's one that smells, to me, rather divine...or it smells divine on me to me. Errr yes. Anyway. It's by Agent Provocateur but it's not the pink bottle (nice, but too overpowering) it's the gold bottle. I can only find it in Debenhams. And no i haven't bought it; i just squirted it on my wrist to try. Oh & it's called "Maitresse". Which, i think, means Mistress?

You're right melie. Does the man think we're made of money> I'm starting a drug habit. Can't be any more expensive than following Mr May round the country (goes to check trains from Brum to Manchester on the 29th :

Inky we're loyal, well that's what I'm telling myself. Mum is even interested in the non jokey way which is really nice. So London maybe on the cards! WOOHOO she was lovely about my blue sunday, mind you she has the lurgy so may have been the drugs talking!! LOL Hi Melie welcome!! Perfume, something which wears well and the low notes last, the first notes will be quite high, so let them dry and see how they wear on your skin. If trying lots of different perfumes, take some coffee to clean your nose, also stops you feeling too yucky! Try not to confuse too many at once. My favourite one I took a year to re-find!

I'm very conservative with my perfume. I have a small group of faves and I never waver from them - Chanel 19, Rive Gauche, White Linen, Chance by Chanel and Coco by Chanel (no wonder I never have any money :

Conservative is good, it's also sheek and stylish. A classic scent never goes out of vogue!! The good thing with those perfumes a little goes a long way, love Coco!!

I have & wear Chanel 19. Used to wear Rive Gauche. That's a nice one. Not heard of the coffee thing, Maygrail? Do i sniff it or something? The perfume i suggested i can smell albeit faintly on my wrists, even though i showered this morning.

I am probably going to the London one - if everyone wants a get together it would be nice. I will of course be in W H Smiths whilst you are all getting your books signed at Waterstones..... One question - do we have to buy a book there or can we bring them along? I already have my copy.

I'd love a meet ...........I thought the same, though I think I may buy one for my boys school for the Christmas raffle, a signed copy and seeing as they attend a college of science and technology, I think quite a good idea (I may keep it for myself)...............so if anyone knows can I and Ly bring our copies already bought ones, for signing........

It's OK Lymaze, we'll meet you at WH Smiths later on and tell you all about it....?!! ;D I'm definitely up for a get-together - just let me know when and where. As for buying the book on the day (or not), I intend to visit the Leadenhall Waterstone's on Monday or Tuesday this week (my days off), and I'll ask if it's OK to bring a previously bought copy. Normally it's allowed - I've been to booksignings before and not had to buy the book on the day. But I think it's worth checking anyway. Watch this space....

Evening all. Detective XJ has been on the case today....in the form of a trip to the Leadenhall Waterstone's. Good news: it is NOT necessary to buy the book on the day in order to have it signed, so if you already have a copy, don't worry, you can still meet James. ;D Another piece of good news: I discovered that Richard Hammond is also doing a booksigning in that shop, on 26 November, ie. a week today. For anyone who's interested in attending, see the separate thread for details.

Yes, Lew, really! ;D Also, in answer to your earlier question, I'll be going for the smart/casual look, ie. jeans, with a smart(ish) top and boots. Actually I spend most of the time wearing jeans, so no change there!!
