following my James in London/ Boyf coming to Scotland /Crowded House dilema that I'd posted on the old board. The Boy informed me that he's not going to make it up for my birthday due to work stuff but that may make the London signing a possibility. Although I wouldn't want to go on my ownsome could I meet up with the you girlies that are going?

I think enough of us are wanting to go so we will need to arrange a meeting place or a way of knowing who we all are. Maybe go for a drink afterwards or something?

Hmmm... Just thinking I may have to go awol from work for a bit that day. Isn't a pink carnation the traditional way of recognising people you've never met before? Knowing my luck I'd end up gate-crashing a wedding by mistake!

Well a thought,......... though I've just bought a rather lush, fake fur full length coat from M&S, which I'll wear with jeans ;D......so I'll stand out like a sore thumb ... and the red rose/carnation pink in between my teeth

I think I saw that coat the other day lew. I think I even stroked it and thought "nice".

Yes, you'll spot me a mile off, look for the blonde bird with a big bag it will be blue....

Hee hee, you'll be able to spot me as well - I'm a very short bird with blue eyes and unmanageable hair. Honestly, Hammond would seem like a giant next to me, and my hair would make James's look neat and tidy....! ;D Actually, on thinking about it, because I'm so short, you might have trouble spotting me in the crowd!!! ;D

I think I saw that coat the other day lew. I think I even stroked it and thought "nice". I've not even worn the thing, I just stroke the flippin thing, which could come in useful, mind you I'd run a mile if the man himself touched it .......xj I'll make sure I won't tread on you ;D

Glam, it'd be great if you could come! Can you afford to fly here? Or how about taking the sleeper train? Either way, you could make a day trip of it.

getting downs not the problem, it's the coming back, they're looking for £101 for a single on the train. I shall speak to the boyf tonight and see

You could get the sleeper train in both directions, which would allow for a proper day out in London. Alternatively, there might be some cheaper deals if you book in advance on a specific train. You've still got a week to go, so there may still be some good prices available. Here's hoping....

Well, I WAS going to go to Brum on the 29th but despite muchos financial jiggery-pokery it ain't going to happen However, the 30th is payday ;D AND I am getting some backpay and my annual appraisal bonus soooooo depending on how much the train is going to rip me off, I think I might make a day of it I have got to come down to London on Wednesday (I tried and tried to get the meeting moved to Friday but they were having none of it - whatever happened to 'caring for staff?' My Mayism needs treatment and a book signing on Friday would have been the perfect cure). I will cross-examine the rail booking people when I am at the station ;D
