Review some point tonight. Looks like a good one.
The BMW M3 v Lexus comparison was interesting but it definitely showed that the original sports saloon is still the best and that cocks don't drive them anymore is a bonus.
The news and James and Jeremy didn't sound very good. I hope they take care of themselves (although they are in Dublin and doing TGL) Yay for not repeated news from the uncut news online. I liked Jeremy's magnet solution but maybe it needs a little work and he's been on the internet!
The bus racing was good. I thought the bendy buses were a menace yet had great comedic value, the double decker bus was a sight to behold and the I delighted that London buses will now be more nippy with the single decker bus, after this scientific research. The touring car drivers were yet again lethal
The SIARPC was quite brillaint. Kevin McCloud is a complete oxymoron, a V8 lover and a ecomentalist! I loved that it was no plugging and he clearer had a passion for engineering and wasn't a bore about it. His driving was brutal but spot on and I'm quite pleased he didn't beat Jay Kay.
The cool wall was back! It slotted in perfectly to this programme and it was great for Jeremy and Richard to interact with the audience and be rude to them! Excellent The shoes thing was very funny.
This has to be the most beautiful and mad way to celebrate the Ferrari Daytona's 40th year. I loved how it was shot and filmed. The use of split screen was perfect throughout the driving sequences.
James in the speedboat, ow, bang, ow, bang, ow etc; that was brutal on his body yet must have been a spectacle outside of it to watch. Them both being pulled up by the Police was almost too good to be true. The race along the Riviera was inspired.
The Daytona is a stunning car and belongs in a world and culture long gone: but it is rather lovely to be reminded of how amazing and beautiful the world was without its mad advertsing and hideous traffic jams. I'd love to experience a Daytona. I can see why Richard got so caught up in the romanticism of it, which he conveyed perfectly.
On the race side I'm pleased James won, if only because of the tortuous experience he had.
And next week the new Fiesta in Basingstoke, I look forward to seeing it.
Overall, another clean perfectly paced episode. When TG hit an optimum balance they do it with style. Considering how poorly they were it was brilliantly done. I hope they all feel better soon.
This review doesn't do justice to the episode, it may just be me. I looked forward to this most of the week and it delivered. Thank you
