Much as I love Jeremy, I'm afraid a trip to Chipping Norton is a bit far for me too. I know he only lives around the corner so he can be home for his dinner, but perhaps a trip to say Leadenhall Waterstones would be a nice idea too - or even Piccadilly Waterstones as it's just down the road that way.

Off topic, but he lives very close to the Rollright Stones.

I like stones. I have a great interest in stone circles and their mystical meanings, and these ones sound especially interesting all of a sudden.

The Rollrights are very lovely and well worth a visit... if you should be in the area!

Oops. Forget all about this. Anyway there's a report on HH from someone who went which I've reproduced here and a photo I can't see. Sounds good. " We got there for about 5.30pm but it was freezing so we decided to go to a lovely pub down the road to kill time, we went to the store around 6.15pm and Jeremy and Francie (who looked fantastic) were just arriving. There wasnt a huge amount of people there, just a nice crowd who were very very brave to queue in this weather! It was fairly rushed as these things so often are, but Jeremy looked happy and relaxed, he had a chat to people and was happy to pose for photos and sign things other than his book which i thought was nice of him. Hes very personable and funny in person, he made a comment about having a 'dead racoon' around his shoulders which made me smile! No ego or any of that nonsense, just a local guy doing a nice gesture for the wonderful Jaffe and Neale bookshop (which is fabulous!)."by captainslowlover. Damn. Sounds wonderful.

Aaaw bless him , saying he was "overwhelmed". As the HH girl said, there's no ego.
