I'm thinking about going to this, haven't been to Bluewater before though. Anyone else going who might be willing to meet me somewhere easy to find so I don't get lost on my own? Forget that, just found out I'm being fired for not being nice enough to my co-workers so I won't be able to afford it after all.

Sorry to hear that. I'm going to Bluewater, so I would've been happy to meet up with you. Is anyone else going?

Oh Wolf. That's terrible. What's happened? This year seems to be a year of firings, and polite requests of "could you perhaps leave".

Apparently I'm too abrasive & it offends the precious little hothouse orchids that I work with. Bunch of whinging prima donnas. Have just been told that I'm on two months notice though so I might just about be able to make it after all. Will count my pennies.

That sounds familiar. Funnily enough I have been told this year that I don't say good morning properly and my attitude isn't right. That I've run this company for them and always do my job well doesn't come into it - I don't sit here with an inane smile on my face all day. So I'm off at the end of the year. Wolf - you will find something better. Meanwhile, count your pennies and have a day at Bluewater.

Ly - Sounds like you're basically getting the same nonsense as me. They'll miss you when you're gone & they have to do the work themselves. Thanks, you'll find something better too. Right, I've decided, I'm going to Bluewater. There's nothing that urgent on the "to do" list that it can't wait 'til next month if needs be. XJ - Still willing to meet?

Definitely, Wolfie. Shall we say 12.30, or maybe 12.45, at WH Smiths? Should we PM each other with our phone numbers?

Oh no Wolfie! How they can do this at this time of year astonishes me. I am so sorry. That is a right kick in the guts, but you are strong Wolfie! I am sure you will find something better in the New Year... Think of the Stig.... ;D

Oh Wolfie! That completely sux. What is going on with the world? You should def. go and meet up with the girls and have a good time. Now on a completely unrelated and yet equally dismal note, my washing machine has just exploded, just what I need... *goes off to sob about the unfairness of it all**

Thanks everyone. Poor Puss, try the Jezza approach - hit it with a big hammer. Probably won't fix it but at least it'll make you feel better. XJ - 12.30 sounds good, I shall pm you now.

Well, I've just returned from my pre-Bluewater shopping trip. New make-up & smellies for the occassion. *shakes head* Can't believe I just bought new perfume to meet the Hamster. I'm way too old to be faffing like this. Oh well, I could always tell myself I needed new make-up anyway. *sigh*

Well, I'm back. Didn't go quite according to plan. Had a nice time meeting XJ. She's putting a report up tomorrow so I'll leave the big explanation to her. Getting the Hamster's autograph, how hard could it be...

reports on HH coming through

|
|
Post by lymaze on Dec 1, 2007 20:45:28 GMT
Oh dear. Reading the reports on HH it seems WHS were not very organised and loads of people didn't get their books signed because Richard left after he'd done his hour. Not his fault obviously. Some people had been there hours and didn't get to see him. That's very sad. I feel sorry for anyone who had that happen to them.
