James took part in today's (thursday's) episode of the BBC Radio 4 programme called "Blind man seeks work".
"Peter White looks at some of the jobs he was told he could not do because he was blind. Peter improves his piloting skills in a flight simulator and asks James May of Top Gear if he can take a turn in his plane."
I managed to catch the last five minutes or so (of 15) and it was really funny. I want James to teach me how to fly. ;D
It will unfortunately not be availlable on Listen Again, I checked the website, so I hope someone recorded it and will upload.

Aww James was trying to be polite bless him...It's weird listening to him on the radio and not being able to see him in the plane and taking off at the end Good though. I'd love to be a passenger in his plane x.

Wonder if it was prerecorded then has anyone out there recorded it I second that question. I can get iPlayer to work sometimes for radio but never for tv and today is one of those days where I can't.

Thanks MG. I hate the iplayer because I can not listen to it Have you tried working with a British proxy server? On FinalGear some people swear by it, but the ones I tried really really slow things down, too slow to be able to play videos anymore.

Thanks Maygrail. ;D
I think this is quite a funny series. Peter White is a as I understand a well respected radio reporter who doesn't let his handicap stop him having a career. Good for him.

Peter White does anything, he travels up and down to London with ease. I seen him as he lives near where I do and he doesn't let the disability rule him. As James said it enhances all of his other senses so he picks up on more things than any one else would.

Thanks Maygrail. ;D I think this is quite a funny series. Peter White is a as I understand a well respected radio reporter who doesn't let his handicap stop him having a career. Good for him. I've seen him before; he works on TV as well. He presented a very good programme about the racing driver Alex Zanardi a few years ago, following the accident that resulted in Zanardi losing both his legs. Loved this radio show, and the pics with the plane. Somehow, James always seems so happy in pics like that.
