Very interesting, though rather than TGism (sp) could it be just our terms...ie the BFS this is a boardism

Term "The House" means James's house in the country where various women or the harem reside (ie board members) ;D OK then better explain more .....The House was a subject for many a fiction especially those writers called fussycat, ly, ink and cheese, puss, oh and banned erm god I need to remember, do add if I've left you out It was a bit of fun, though if I remember ly had most with Jezza nothing naughty (well y'know ), and a lot of great British comedy and innuendo ;D.....so when I see harem, I'm sure you get the picture ;D So any of you ladies, and actually kass did an excellent one thanks we really should start this again.....and please if I've forgotten to add you please, please let me know I'll add you to the list And for some strange reason, ink did all the cooking and cleaning ;D Oops better add, that this place doesn't exist.....honest not even in Totnes ;D......just totally in the land of lala and all that ;D

Now, if someone could give me the definition of "sthingy" and "sblack personed" I'd be ecstatic!

It's a self-censoring system the proboards use, which can get very silly. It detects what it thinks is an offensive word and changes it to something innocuous. I could see where sblackperson came from (sni*gger) but sthingy defeated me until I checked the Urban Dictionary and found out that po*on is a rude word for a lady's bits in some parts of America, so obviously spo*on is totally unacceptable!
It's a funny old world!

Thankyou, dit! That explains a lot. As thanks, have a motivational poster: (I know, it really belongs in the thread for those things, but I was inspired to make it in the first place, by this thread, so that's why I thought I'd post it here first.)

I saw this and thought of you ladies! Maybe this definition will help you understand.
ýUndersteer is when you hit the fence with the front of the car. Oversteer is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the fence. Torque is how far you take the fence with you

Is that a football thing?
(My lifetime mantra when anyone mentions anything to do with men running round a field kicking balls!)

Perhaps the mantra should be, "Is that a ball thing?" ;D Somehow it makes them sound even sillier for chasing after a ball with a bunch of other men! ;D ;D I don't mind football (soccer) but I can't stand American football. So I tend to ask the same questions when guys or even girls I know start spouting off about it. ;D

Oversteer is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the fence. Torque is how far you take the fence with you If only I'd had that concise explanation available when I was trying to describe torque and horsepower in the pub the other day. As far as I can tell, understeer is that thing when you try to turn a corner and collide with the house opposite the junction instead. Oversteer's that thing I really like because it makes me laugh, but not on the road because that would be bad. The Richard Hammond definition of oversteer and understeer: "Understeer works like this: you drive down the road, you turn the wheel, but the car goes straight on, crashes into a tree and you die. Oversteer works like this: you drive down the same bit of road, you turn the wheel, but the back of the car comes round like this and you go off the road, crash into a tree and you die. Now, oversteer is best because you don't see the tree that kills you."

understeer is when you go turn but go straight on and hit the curb with your front wheel, and oversteer is when you turn but smack the curb with the rear wheel!
oops - I know its bad, but great fun! (so long as said wheel isnt bent!)
(there, that should do it)

OMG, lumpy yawn! My family refers to it as the technicolor yawn, blowing chunks, and a whole 'nother bunch of adjectives I wouldn't dare talk about on a public board!

I don't think anyone has ventured into the realm of the TG words for *ahem* gentlemen's private parts:
*plums--used by Clarkson *wedding vegetables--I nearly blew tea through my nose when I heard James say this *gentleman's region--another Mayism

Clarkson is good at them, isn't he?
I think my fav. is "Lady Garden". Sounds like pervy Victorian poetry.

Don't forget "gentleman's sausage", as well as all the wordplay on "gentlemen's relish."

He's used "pods" as well, when The Stig was about to jet-ski his way off the ski-jump ramp.
It's not a jet ski, is it? You know what I mean...
