Spotted this two minutes from my work yesterday at lunch time. I was in stitches! So that's the Belgian way of parking... If the spot's too small use logic and MAKE it work!  |

No idea, I just passed by coming in from lunch. But there usually aren't any police or traffic wardens about much here... there was no ticket or anything so who knows he might have gotten away with it!

However, the yellow license plate indicates that it's a foreigner.... I don't know from where didn't check...

That's a good one. I'm going to have to keep my eyes open here. I've seen some American tanks (that's how big they are, some of them) trying to park around different villages and they barely fit. If I see any and can get a picture, I'll have to show you.  |

One thing that annoys me, and I don't even drive, is when people take up 2 parking spaces because they couldn't be bothered to park properly. That is just inconsiderate, anger inducing and annoying. I mean, they got their license properly, the least they could do is practice what they learned to get it in the first place properly.

True. And something else which is worse, but only just, people who don't need to use them but who park in the bays set aside for disabled people. That should be illegal.

Mother and Baby parking spaces... I ..... hate them. Why's that? I am very appreciative of mother and baby spaces. The wider spaces really help when you've got kids to get in and out of the car. What I hate is when people who don't have kids with them use those spaces - taking them up when someone else realy needs them. |

I noticed those mother/child parking spots when we first moved here five years ago and thought they were nice too. I wish they would've had them in Las Vegas after my son was born, but what can you do? From what I can see, it does make getting your baby and groceries to your car alot easier. I don't think it's fair either when someone who doesn't have small children parks in those spots either, just so they don't have to exert any energy to get into the shops. It's just about as bad as someone who isn't handicapped, parking in a handicap space.

I admit I hate parking because my spacial awareness isn't the best... but if I go wrong I change it and keep changing it til it's right. This lot don't. Great piccie WCH! One female comedian has suggested that in addition to "mom & baby" spots at the grocers, there should be "menopausal woman" parking spots.
One whole row of extra wide, drive straight through, spots closer to the door. She suggests it would save "bloodshed" and I think she's right.
I don't know if it's "the pause" or being fed up with jeepie-truckie things blocking my doors closed in parking lots. It would also make it so I could pull out of the spot instead of trying to back out with things blocking my view on both sides.
There are days when I'd like to borrow a tank myself!
Stigalicious, when I get the tank we will go and flatten the 2 space parkers together!
