I am almost wetting my knickers with excitement here. Having done well in the GT1 class for the last couple of years, AM are aiming for an overall win at the 24 Heures du Mans this year, and this means they'll be running two cars in the LMP1 class. It's possible they may even run a third car, if they can find additional sponsorship.
And they'll be running in Gulf colours!
Now... how can I manage a lottery win? I'd seriously love to see it
And joking aside, with AM having recently been forced to drop back to a 3 day production week, a successful performance at Le Mans could make a hell of a difference to the company's future prospects.
It doesn't seem to have done Audi any harm!
