So i expect to see the blue peter garden in ruins any day now. Do they still make that candle holder out of coat hangers at xmas on top gear that would burn the studio to the ground with blue stig just string in to the distance. I have seen a picture some where as the 3 TG guys mock up like blue peter presenters but can't remember where.

I can just see it now.
The episode will start with the presenters challenged to make something out of some sticky-backed plastic, a squeezy bottle and a gallon of unleaded.
Next, a mysterious, helmeted, member of the BP team will do power laps of the Italian Sunken Garden on the back of the Blue Peter tortoise.
The next item will be cut after one of the presenters says something offensive about the Director General
And finally... the team will accidentally set the studio on fire while lighting the Advent crown...
Cue theme music

Aww, Jeremy isn't grumpy!
It is a good idea though, maybe they could combine TG and BP for some charity thing, like when they did Ground Force.

What about after the watershed? Or an internet exclusive with a forthcoming DVD release rated 18? They could put their cock rings and their pork swords to better use then.

Well, could you imagine it, Blue Top Gear!! Yes. But the BBC could never show it Be like that rainbow ep that was only available on bootleg and now on you tube. ;D we would all be happy Jezza could bring his donkey Hammond could jump in out or on someone i mean something ;D And James could play with his tools. Also the DM could moan about it. we would not want them to run out of TG stories

Brilliant article UM - brings back all of the Blue Peter memories of my youth coupled with TG fun of the present!
Talking of programmes being like Top Gear, anyone noticed how The Gadget Show on Five is becoming more and more like it. They have lots of presenter challenges and are even launching their own Gadget Show Live in April at the NEC with a stage show by the presenters. Wonder where they get their ideas from, hmmmmmm.....!!!

Well, I know (well I think) that they did Gadget Show Live a few years ago as well, so I don't think it is quite a new thing. I do see what you mean though, I love the Gadget Show, one of the only things on that channel worth watching. Apart from Neighbours, obv. *
* My one embarrassing-to-admit telly indulgence.
