17/11 This week's column.......sounds like Richard has been sucked into the world of reality TV.

I see Richard has been reading our fan fic. One male, surrounded by women, making the best of having no TV and no clothes. Richard - if you'd like to become a member and read the new stuff feel free. ;D

Poor soul, wonder which one he'll be selling

Post by lymaze on Jan 12, 2008 9:42:18 GMT
Yes. Not the brand new £110,000 one I expect, and not Oliver as he is only worth £4 not £40,000. ;D Can you imagine though all that stuff to shift back. I do wonder why they thought it would work in the first place. Much as I love the idea of a beautiful state of the art show home, I'm afraid in reality I'm a not quite finished anywhere, sort of dusted, unmowed lawn type.

He's really gone up in my estimations. For once, a bloke admitting he has made a mistake and actually doing something about it. Good on you, Rich (his old home sounds like a really lovely place to be - me being a doggie/horsey lover I can see exactly where he is coming from

www.mirror.co.uk/news/columnists/hammond/I didn't see these last week. The second one down is interesting. He's done a few columns this week too in the motoring section too. Brings me great comfort to know a man such as Richard finds parking a struggle. ;D

As someone who has spent their entire life "vertically challenged", I found the 'short' article funny too, largely in a "been there, done that" kind of way ;D However, the report he's talking about missed one thing... it's not just short men who feel like that!!!!

I probably feel my height issue more acutely than I otherwise would because I come from a very tall family. My mum is 5'7", which is pretty average, I guess, but my dad's side doesn't have anyone much under six feet tall. All the blokes are 6 foot plus, my one male cousin is 6'5" and built like a proverbial... while my 5 female cousins range between 5'10" and 6'1". I have no idea what happened to me and my sister, and even she's 5'5"! My granddad's driver was barely over 5' tall though, and I would't have ever wanted to get on the wrong side of him - he was completely terrifying! ETA: I've just had a very scary thought regarding me, my mum and the very short driver...

Just to add I'm a whole 1/2 an inch smaller, than me mother, but it's very important ;D

As if the appendix wasn't bad enough, that kidney stone proceedure sounds eyewatering. And I bet they'll want to mow his lawn again, too...
