I see that there was originally water in the pond - it must have sprung a leak.

Question! Why was a shiny female model at a nerdy geeky event? Do they turn up everywhere with their large boobies? Mumble mumble grrr hurumf.
I played scalextric for the first time in years recently. As it became apparent had the slower car (!) I did what any mortal would do - I pushed my opponents car off the track every time it passed me. I had to - my opponent was reminding me how he had beaten me in a quiz and similar mind games and a girl can only take so much......

This is a bit of an oddity - an article from an online magazine called What's On (in Kent and East Sussex) in 2009 dealing with the plasticine garden. The actual article is on pages 40 - 43. It's not easy to wrangle, not well spelled and the early part is just cut 'n' paste stuff, but the actual interview is clearly James. I'm going to try to downloads the photos and put them on the Pics of James thread. www.whats-on-magazine.com/2009/07/01/whats-on-magazine-exclusive-with-james-may/You have to click on the picture then wait for the magazine to load. Click on the bottom right of the page.

Nice one Dit. Dreadful editing though, as you said!

There is a reason why this magazine is complimentary. Good pics and some nice comments from James though. ;D

www.radiotimes.com/news/2012-07-18/twickenham-film-studios-saved-from-closureA bit of good news for those who worked on the Plasticine garden - the studio where we did the bulk of the build and spent many long, warm, happy days is no longer under threat of closure and has new investors who seem quite keen to encourage film making and production work back to Richmond. I am really happy to hear this

Anyone heard any updates on the giant balsa wood glider?
For some reason, I had it in my head that it was to be launched in August. We've now pretty much run out of August, and James is working elsewhere.
Eyes on the skies, people!

Going to be cheeky and bump this one, so it appears on the front page - just on the offchance that someone either has an answer, or knows how to get one.
Lengthy silence on the subject of gliders

I've got to the stage where I'm totally confused as to what he's filming when for what. Man Lab 3, TYNTK, Toy Stories, Top Gear, the Jezza'n'James project - I have no idea when most of this stuff is actually going to be on our screens. Lord knows how James copes; he must have a very large diary (or a very well-organised PA!)

Wee hint on Twitter this morning that the glider project might be reaching its climax. Base Films have tweeted that they're working with him today and I'm pretty sure it's Toy Stories they're working on

He's been spotted on Ilfracombe Pier, allegedly. Are they trying to fly this glider across the Bristol Channel?

There are no surprises in this day and age, unless you walk around with your head in a bag. [looks a little like a V1 flying bomb, don't you think?]

A bit more info from twitter this morning - James is still in Ilfracombe and the helicopter/glider has been flying again.
- Why has James May been opposite my house two days in a row? - I know that, he is flying a stupid little aeroplane over the bristol channel, he told mum yesterday
Plane-shaped box is actually quite big, lots of blokes looking at it, none of them appears to be James May.
Two helicopters, one is TV and one is presumably James May getting up to his antics again!
I like James May and all but the c**t woke me up

I put two of the pictures in the pictures discussion. He's got long hair again!
