If any members are near the Albert Dock in Liverpool in the next few weeks, keep a look out. Apparently, that is where the Meccano bridge will be built. Ah, interesting! I can see the logic there - there's lots of space and it's already set up for telly... (although sadly Fred the weathermap man is no more...)

Well I believe that part of Liverpool is quite famous so I am sure that it will be covered in the press somewhere. It isn't as though you can hide a giant Meccano bridge!!!
Just out of curiosity, will it be safe?

Of course it will be. It's James who is building it, not Jezza. ;D

Aww. So you could walk on it afterwards? Wow! I had a bad dream about being on a bridge once so I wouldn't go on it.

No, but the Dock is a large place, we only walked round a small part of it, then went into our gig... if I'd known, I'd have looked round more! Aagh!

Someone on Twitter said he was there four days ago... oh why didn't I know this yesterday? Well, James will probably be around quite a lot in the next few weeks. You better start checking Twitter on a regular basis. After all, as I mentioned earlier, you are now this board's Senior Bridge Correspondent! ;D

Interview with James about his garden. I already posted this in the News section, but I guess it belongs here as well.

Wow! How do I sign up for that one? www.thebox.bzIt's a torrent site. They might have a waiting list for new members though. And a warning beforehand: they are very strict about ratios. if you don't upload as much as you download, you get kicked out. That's what I meant with "Free". It means that downloading doesn't affect your ratio.

Post by lindenchase on May 15, 2009 14:40:19 GMT
Yep. It's quite amazing what you can find there and because everyone is worried about his or her ratio, it's never a problem to actually download the things you want. ;D
I checked and there doesn't seem to be a waiting list at the moment.
