They make snowshoes, why not "water shoes"?? Water shoes = passport
I'm still staring at a passport application. It works if you fill it out, send it in, and go get your picture....lol.
Everyone in my life would think I'm nuts to work for a day for James May. But I'd do it in a heartbeat. But that doesn't matter, I'll never get a passport issued in time for this request.
So I'd better stop procrastinating and get my passport so I don't whine the next time a request comes in.

There's a good chance the federal government's going to shut down on Friday for who knows how long, and passport applications don't get filed when that happens. If that happens, I'll be...well ranting, but probably elsewhere. I come here for fun. And good online company. And pictures, definitely pictures. I do have a passport, but I lack the funds to go across the pond. And I could really use a long break from here. Too bad I'd have to just be an observer, but that'd still be fun times.

Oh yes, yes, I know about the shut down. I didn't want to add to the blues of my whining....lol. I've been through a few shut downs, especially the one when a comet was bombarding Jupiter and we have to wait for the freakin' images. And I have the funds to get across the pond, but I'll have to wait for the feds to say go. Lovely.

You could pay the extra, what is it I think $65, and get the passport expedited. You might get that in time. That is, of course, assuming the government doesn't shut down.

They are shutting down tomorrow if they don't get it together. I don't think even expediting will work under that time limit. (ETA....right, read to end of sentence and try reading comprehension, since you already said that*facepalm*) But I've got a passport, you've got money...I'll go in your place. I know, I know, I am willing to make this sacrifice for you. Aren't I just the nicest person? Well I can't give you my passport! =P

Someone told me that today aeromanda. I think I might try that and see what happens. meimichan: Yeah, and what they're debating is making me ill. The thing that pisses me off is, if the government shuts down, the military doesn't get paid. One of my co-worker's sons is a Marine, has a family, and a new baby, and they're scrambling to figure out how to pay the bills if the government shuts down for any period of time. If they do shut down, considering that they are debating more than just a budget, it could take a while. I really hope a decision is reached before the end of tomorrow. I really do.........for my co-worker's son's sake.

News from James May's Man Lab via Twitter:
If you plan to watch the model train race please come to either Barnstaple or Bideford Station after 1pm although we cannot guarantee when the trains will arrive. Please do not come to the Tarka Trail itself.
