Hope everyone got their tickets OK. I think SEE were having some major issues yesterday as there were hundreds of people on the Glastonbury forum trying to get through to them about problems with campervan passes, at the same time as everyone was trying to book for MPH.

That would explain why it took me about five minutes to get through online and make my first booking, yet a further half hour to make my second!

What I don't get is that the ticket company know that shows like this, and Galstonbury will be immensely popular, people ringin up as soon as the lines open, so why don't they have more phone operators or a more secure and better way of buying tickets online?

exactly how many times does this happen with all sorts of productions/concerts. We are in the 21st century aren't we!

Well, calendar wise, yes, all signs point in that direction, but where some parts of life are concerned, I am begining to wonder also.

I know... SEE's servers crash every year when Glastonbury tickets go on sale, they crash when tickets go on sale for big gigs like Oasis, and the phones are constantly engaged most of the time even when nothing major is on sale. I wonder sometimes if it's just one bloke sitting at a desk who answers all the calls!!

A firm near me got a phone contract a few years ago for some westlife gigs they canceled a open day they where going to have and got has many staff has they could in that day. But the big rush never happened they paid a lot of people just to sit around all day. ;D But the firm in question could not organize a piss up in a brewery so i was not surprise when i heard.

I've learned that if at all possible, go to the venue for tickets. I've had really good luck with concerts that way because you don't run the risk of websites crashing or phones disconnecting. In this case I know it's a lot harder but just a word of advice.

In this case I know it's a lot harder but just a word of advice. That's my normal policy. It's just taken me about 3 months to not yet sort out replacement tickets for the Thunder gig that was moved from the O2 Empire to the Apollo because I paid cash at the box office so am not the responsibility of the ticket agent and as I bought the tickets at the O2 Academy I have to go to them to get them exchanged, I can't even do it at the Empire! But they don't see why they should be distributing tickets for a rival venue! Having said that, the woman there has bent over backwards to try to get it sorted, but if I'd booked with an agency it would have been 1 simple phone call to get the tickets changed over!

Hi there - first post on these boards!
I've booked my tickets for the NEC in November. I know Clarkson will be there, and the Stig, but does anyone know if the other guys will be attending/presenting in Birmingham?

Hi honeyfitz and welcome. I think Richard usually always does them and James is a question mark until a little closer to the date but hopefully all three will do the London dates again this year.

Reluctantly ladies after much balancing of budgets and trying (and failing) to get a few days off work, I won't be attending this year's MPH. I have just spent an obscene amount on a holiday for me and my mum as a congrats gift since we have both hit our target goals in Weightw*tchers so that has left v. little in the way of bank balance. But never fear I am going to be there next year even if I have to hitchhike!
So please have a wonderful time every one who is attending especially if its your first one, take loads of pics and have some wonderful stories when you get back. xxxxxx

Congrats on your goal weight GJ. It's not easy I know. I'm a failed WW, having regained all the weight I lost + a load more. You know how some are saying - we got our tickets - do you mean in your hands, or they're going to be posted out sometime soon? Never thought that the threesome /foursome wouldnt be there. I'll be gutted if one of 'em is missing

I think if all three don't attend, we should sue for misrepresentation... Top Gear means all of 'em!

If it's like last year, the first I knew of James' confirmation, was when they put his pic in the header instead of Stig
