Not Spending Too Much Money: Fail Not Buying Things I Don't Need: Fail Walking Round Too Much And Getting Aching Feet: Fail (ouch!) Seeing James And Making Plasticine Buttercups: WIN!
(taking any photos at all: fail - wasn't at all appropriate to do so - too many children about so it wasn't wise to do so as it would have been too hard to crop them out)

Good to hear you had a fab time. I'm expecting a full report once you have nurtured your feet! ;D Not an awful lot to report, really, other than that he was looking teh sexy, and that I am very bad at making plasticine flowers so I went for the 'quantity not quality' approach to buttercups! I'll PM you the rest - not for public consumption!!!

That's very enlightening for the rest of us. Thanks becks. Well, my tales of overspending on kitchen gadgets probably isn't that interesting, Inky.... James was on fine form, yes, nobody, and yes, I did manage a quick 'hello, wave, hello'! And luckily I saw no evidence of idiocy or horribleness (although quite how they'll get all that plasticine out of the carpet I don't know... )

I thought you might be able to give all our members who couldn't be there, an idea of what went on.

James was lovely. I'm afraid I'm sharing nothing else on the public section of the forum (or on any other public forum) lest it is interpreted / copied / used in the same light that my (detailed, honest and open) report from MPH was last year...

But I'm also still deeply hurt by the behaviour of some people who I thought were trusted friends so excuse me if I keep my private business private.

They look very big compared to the rose. So how did you make the flowers? Were they solid plasticine or did they have a frame?
Solid plasticine would be very floppy.

The stems are copper wire covered in plasticine - so they'll stand up. The flowers themselves are just plasticine though. I expect on the show there'll be instructions so people at home can make their own!

I am jealous of the talent. I wish I could make lovely things like that. I have all these creative and artistic ideas in my head but every time I try to put them into practise they end up looking like something a 4 year old would discard as rubbish.

I'm sorry you don't understand my reasons, Inky, for being so coy. Perhaps you're not aware of the full extent of the issues I experienced last year - suffice to say it was not nice at all.
People are welcome to PM me if they want the finer details (not that there's much to say - I was going anyway and the fact that JM was there was a bonus late addition) but I won't be posting my report here, HH, anywhere... Sorry, I just don't trust people any more.
In any case, other people were there who probably had more time to take pics etc, and I'm sure they will post reports far more interesting than my day. Also the whole workshops were filmed, and the show will be an hour long, so no-one, ultimately, will be missing out - it'll be a fantastic programme, I'm sure, and we have six episodes to look forward to, of which this is only one.
