You should see one board i go on we where talking about a TV show then some how people were talking about different physics theory's.

HELLOO!!!!!! First post alert, please be gentle with me Firstly - it appears I am quite normal afterall - HOORAH! Having spent 4 lonely years in an "I adore James May" stupor, fending off ridiculous "who?", "oooo no!" and "Richard is better looking" comments, I finally feel vindicated!!! And after all those years, I finally got to lay eyes on James on Monday at the Ideal Home show - I can only bless all the people who bought my usual Sunday paper forcing me to purchase an alternative journal where his appearance was announced - THANK YOU!!! Having grabbed two of the freebie tickets and calling a friend who I knew needed cheering up, I headed up to London feeling rather giddy! We grabbed a drink and headed off to find my garden of lust ahem, I mean plasticine...only for my friend to say she hates plasticine, didn't want to be on telly and wasn't coming into the show area...  James was due out any minute so I told her I wanted to head in so left her sitting on the wall and bagged myself a front row seat with a lovely couple and their young daughter....and then....there he was *sigh*......the dad of the family was laughing at me as I was in a right bloody state! It completely didn't help when early on James and I locked eyes whilst he was telling everyone how to make the buttercup, I smiled, he smiled, then, looking me straight in the eye, he asked "are you doing it?" - I mean well REALLY, I nearly freakin died!!!! (for the record James, I was doing "something" but at that precise moment, it was NOT making a buttercup ;D) I stayed in the area for about 2hours, flitting back and forth to check my friend was ok, but after 2hours felt bad at leaving her on her own, even tho it was her choice and so VERY begrudgingly we left (after a quick wander round the rest of the show). Took a couple of pics, like others have said, autographs were far and few between as the security guy kept sending the kids away. One dad got a bit bolshy after his son was turned away, but otherwise didn't see any trouble. James seemed to be enjoying it - he did a piece to camera with a lady who can't have been a day younger than 90, I hope that makes the cut  So, big question - did I go say hello?  errrrrrr no....and I have been kicking myself VERY hard ever since....but I just couldn't do it! Having met a reasonable amount of stars over the years and not having had any problem chatting to them, even Billy Idol who's pictures occupied two whole walls of my teenage years bedroom, I can honestly say I have never been so lust struck - EVER! Perhaps it was a good thing - presenting myself to him as a mouth opening, no words coming out (or worse, saying something REALLY stupid!), giggling, flushed scarlet, blundering wreck would perhaps not have made the best first impression! So having spent 3 days completely distraught at my uselessness, I can now finally sleep knowing that regular (ie bloody regular, dont want to miss a thing!) checks here will announce his every intended public move so I can perhaps (who am I kidding, I WILL!) try once again to approach the most handsome man on telly/planet... ;D Hmmm, as a first post, this one was an epic, sorry girls!!! And so I leave to head to bed, perchance to dream and leave you with the pics I took on Monday, enjoy...night night all x    |
