I've never actually been there and I've been desperate to go for some time. This looks like a VERY good excuse!

According to Google Maps, it would take me 7 hours and 14 minutes to travel there by car ;D I don't even think Stig could travel that long

If you have the time and the motivation and the resources, why not get together with a like-minded friend or two and organise a little roadtrip. You could even have an overnight experience somewhere and then go back to the museum the next day before you go home so you could see the exhibition twice.

I would love to do that but sadly, I'm the only TG nut amoung my friends And I can't go with my mum and dad cause my mum's not well enough to travel. Auch well, I can always spy on the brilliant piccies everyone brings back on here and look forward to the reports

Aww, I'm sorry to hear that. Still if people here are organising a get together, maybe you could join in with that.

I was thinking more like back seat ;D I daresay I'd get funny looks, well it's the nearest I'd ever get ;D beggars can't be choosers ......though I read something very interesting a few days ago, about driving and doing the unthinkable (sadly with a cardboard cut out this is impossible ;D

I hope that the exhibition will still be there next year around autumn time. I'm coming over, with husband, kids, my Mum and Dad (yep, whole family) to UK during that time. Am trying to put in as much TG related visiting sites as possible without it actually looking like I am obsessed about TG ;D

I'd like to know how long it's on for too, as I've said, to visit would take a reasonably long journey by public transport, and a two night stay, and I'm already financially committed for this year!

But I can't say much, and I can't say why . . . *Does her "No I am not going to say anything!" face* . . . . . . . *Wishes she were older* . . . . I think I would be allowed to meet up with anyone who is going cause my Dad will be there if I went! By the way here is the link to the website about it: www.beaulieu.co.uk/templates/ld_templates/layout_261.aspx?ObjectId=59808

From the Beaulieu site...
WORLD OF TOP GEAR
Become a part of the world's biggest car show with our newest attraction. Enter the Top Gear Enormodome to see actual cars from some of Jeremy, Richard and James's most ambitious (yet rubbish) challenges, hear the boys themselves telling the stories behind them, and enjoy clips of some of the best Top Gear moments.
The exhibition is now on fast track development and scheduled for opening during June, in readiness for the summer. Vehicles that will be on display include:
Amphibious Cars The team attempt to create a car for land and sea with interesting results. James’ Mayflower, Richard’s Dampervan and Jeremy’s Toyboata can all be seen back out of the water.
Double-deckers These double-decker cars were seen taking on a team of Germans. The car on the bottom has a throttle, breaks and gears but no steering wheel as that’s fitted to the car on the top. Team UK’s hybrid is a Jag XJ and Metro, Team Germany’s hybrid is a Mercedes E Class and Golf.
Stretch Limos The boys were set the task of making stretch limos to take to the Brit Awards. Jeremy chose a Fiat Panda, Hammond a MGF Roadster and May went for an Alfa Romeo and Saab 9000 hybrid. Come to marvel at the curious results!
Reliant Rocket Hammond and May thought they could make a car fly. The Reliant Rocket was seen blasting off into the sky and crashing back down again. Luckily they’d made a spare which stands tall and proud for all to see.
Homemade Police Cars With a mere budget of £1500 the boys created their idea of the perfect police cars and took them through a number of tests including clearing the streets of a pile up and taking on the stig in a police chase.
Austin Princess To celebrate the 40th anniversary of British Leyland, the team bought their idea of the best car British Leyland made. James bought this Austin Princess 1978 and after taking it through a number of tests including being filled with water and driven round a track, it still survives.
Cheap Alfas Challenges The team bought an Alfa Romeo each for under £1000 to prove they are proper petrol heads cars. Going through a number of challenges didn’t dampen their spirits and the cars still live on and Mays GTV will be on display.
BMW 3 Series Hammond, May, Clarkson and the Stig all drove this BMW in a 24 hour endurance race. After an accident with Hammond behind the wheel the car went through repairs and the team finished in 39th place.
Mercedes SL- Anne Hathaway’s Cottage Jeremy took on the challenge of design and came up with this ‘beautiful’ cottage interior. Features include a log burner, wooden floors, lead windows and a lampshade which unsurprisingly did affect the driving capability just a bit.
;D

Yep, I'm near Liverpool, this is right down south Worse thing is, our local paper just advertised a trip to Monkey World in Dorset (somewhere else I've always wanted to go)... it's for two days, one day you go to Monkey World, and the second is a trip to the New Forest, which is close to Beaulieu (but I'm sure you could make your own plans that day?) Problem is, with F1 and MPH coming up, I simply can't afford another trip!
