One of the 'Not-a-Dude's on Final Gear posted this and I've stuck it on my webspace so everyone can see www.angelfire.com/weird2/wyvernslair/jeremy_in_iraq.flvCredit to Skylock for the original upload. I apologise if it's posted elsewhere, but I don't think I've ever seen this. I feel some serious screencapping coming on at some point in the near future ;D PS: FLV files are flash movies, as on YouTube. As always, VLC Player does the business, but if people run into problems, I'll sort out an .avi version.

Wy, can you do that AVI thing? I have tried to download that clip 4 times now and 3 times it gave me about 30 secinds of the film, the 4th time, I thought I had it all but it stopped about 1 minute before the end. Sorry to be a pain. Re: The clip itself. Poor Jeremy He was so scared. You can hear it in the tone of his voice, I think at one point, when he was driving the 5 miles to the airport, that he was close to tears. I know that he is a patrom for the charity Help For Heroes, but, personally, I don't understand why he went there in the first place. Scary is an understatement. At least he got home in one piece. *hugs for Jeremy*

I'm having trouble with the file conversion. For some reason the program keeps crashing.
Then again, with Jeremy involved, I don't suppose I should be too surprised by that.

Do you want me to see if I can send you a piece of software I have for converting from .flv to .avi?

www.bitcomet.com/tools/flvconverter/index.htmHere is the link to it. I have been using it for years and I love it. Here are the best settings for it to get the most from it, I think anyway. FLV to Video - I would always use the WMV option, I think it is the best picture and sound quality of the 4 choices. The Video Codec - Leave it at WMV1, Frame Rate 30, BitRate 2500, Frame Size Original, Audio Codec MP3, Sample Rate 44100, Bit Rate 128, Channels Stereo. Good Luck! I have never had any issues with it at all.

Me neither. Poor Jeremy. He needs some Loyal Lovlies Lovin'.
I know what he feels like though, I grew up in Ulster at a time that was rather violent and was a warzone. And although it is hard to get your head around, there were people on 'the other side' who would have killed you as soon as they looked at you just because of what street you were walking down or what street you lived in. That happened a lot here.

Eek! It's telling me that there is an unsupported codec (presumably in the .flv encoding). I'll keep trying...

Are you in the right tab?
You need to be in the FLV to Video tab.

I have just tried it myself, the FLV link eventually downloaded properly, and I am getting the same thing. It must be the way the original FLV file was encoded. I am sorry that I directed you to all this hassle. I do assure you though, that the software does work and work well, I have been using it for years and that was the first time I have ever encountered that problem. Sorry.
