I saw the latest issue of TG just a few mins ago while walking home from the train station in a local off-license shop (corner shop) It's mostly Stiggy this issue Grr, they haven't updated their mini-site yet. Link as soon as possible they changed it the mini-site to May 2009 issue. And also James' new column for this month is now up online (already, eh? ) www.topgear.com/uk/james-may/james-may-caterham-R500-2009-04-20

The magazine is always dated as being a month ahead, so the edition that James wrote about the Caterham in was actually available to purchase was actually dated April 2009.
I don't know why they do that to be honest.

The magazine is always dated as being a month ahead (...) I don't know why they do that to be honest. Simply, because in that way more magazines get sold. If in April people can already buy the May issue, they think: "That's brand new. I'll have that one!" It's all cobblers of course, but it does work that way and since everyone does it, no publisher will be the first to stop doing so.

He's written about Aston Martins this month and in WH Smiths they have a baby compact version which is so cute easy to carry. Why I bought the full size one too I don't know

No, I mean the smaller, compact version of the magazine. Not the children's version which hasn't been published yet.

Do you think they are missing a trick on that one? Doing a special children's version? Hands up who would buy it as well if they did? *puts up hand*

The cards sound awesome...
Little Billy: "Look Fred, I got a Stig driving the Bugatti Veyron card!" Fred: "*opens package* Sigh. I got that fat bloke that was on the show before James."
The super rare card? The Dacia Sandero!
They could do a pervy line of cards for the fangirls too. Who wouldn't want a shiny "Rich and Oliver" card, or a "Captain Sweepage" hologram one, or a "Jezza's Bum" in 3-D?

I know I would be buying it for my daughter if it had lots of "Richie" photos in it.

No, you can just wear a full face helmet or swallow them. I think that if you kept your mouth closed you would be fine. And wearing sunglasses too might help. At one point I thought that it might be illegal for a road car not to have a windscreen but if it was, Caterham wouldn't sell them! Doh me!!

Hmm. I'm still not sure. I remember once summer evening when a friend and I were driving in the countryside next to a lake and all of a sudden there were about a zillion mosquitoes squashed against the windscreen, the wipers could only just about get them off. Can't bear thinking what it would have been like if we hadn't had that windscreen.

Not in that numbers. It was probably the combination of the warm weather, the lake and the countryside. We were driving 70mph and you really hear "SQUASH". ;D

I got May 2009's issue ;D Jezza on: Norfolk James talks about an Aston Martin. Richard talks about a traction engine which almost made poor Hamster cry Richard test drive the Vauxhall VXR8 - oh lordy! He's wearing the brown leather jacket and a grey hoodie coat The main issue is about The Stig races all of our fave supercars

I was reading my copy earlier! Poor Richard, that sounded really painful!! Ouchie!! Jeremy on Norfolk; "Ooh look, a car!" James on the Aston Martin - he wasn't all that enamoured with it I don't think, he is still comparing cars to 'taste-the-difference' cheese.

Aww for James. Boo-Hoo for Hamster Jezza must be funny. And by the way, don't you think every month, Jezza's column have several pics of him on one page is pretty vain? My friend, who is a Hamster/Hammond fan thinks he is. Me, iz confused UM?

No, it isn't vain! Jeremy doesn't tell the publishers and compilers of the magazine to put them there. He is the main feature writer for the mag, has been for years so it is only natural that there are pics of him in there. I like them, all of them, there should be more of them but I am biased.

They should update James' picture in the mag.
Hammond had his long hair as the main pic for his monthly column. Jezza make funny faces every month. James - his hair is short in his column pic. Please change it!!!!!
