There was a moment on Total Wipeout! (yes, shut up) where a he-man girls-are-dumb jock took a hit on the Wall of Fists and Hammond said "That's for my eight year old daughter."

I know, it was brilliant.
I love it on the US Special when Jeremy says the tortoise they found might be someone's pet and Richard says 'How does a tortoise escape?....Come back! Come back!' (the sarcastic walk he does always makes me laugh)
And again the US Special 'I don't want to peel a squirrel'.

No one should ever have to peel a squirrel! Well perhaps Hugh Fearnley-Wittingstall - but only perhaps!

I've found a game dealer that sells squirrels. Apparently he peels them for you. They look quite tasty.
Then again, I will eat pretty much anything.

Hammond's take on the Morris Marina ;D "I'll guarantee that nothing exciting, vibrant, dynamic, new, creative, hopeful, or beneficial in any way to humanity has ever been done, thought of or driven to in that drab, dreary, entirely beige, wilfully awful pile of misery." (I thought he was going to say "pile of <insert something else here>" but he held back )

During the Veyron vs. aeroplane race, having just been told by James not to 'jig about':-
"I am not jigging! How rubbish is this thing if I can't even lift a chocolate bar to my face without it crashing into a mountain?!"

On the Jonathan Ross show, having just seen a photo of Ross riding a sort of motor tricycle:-
"God, you look a knob on that!"
I love the following exchange on the Petrolheads quiz show, when Richard complains about having James as his guest panellist that week:-
Richard: "I don't want to complain or anything, but why does Chris get Murray Walker on his side and I get stuck with James?"
James: "I would like to declare that you're still a cock, Hammond."
Richard: "That's Captain Cock to you on this show, mate!"

It's one I've been wanting to see for ages! *waits patiently*Probably not particularly funny out of context, but this made me burst out laughing, re Japanese principles at work in the new MX5: "Now that may all sound a bit 'crouching kitten, hidden hippo'..." ;D

I never saw James (and Richard) on Petrolheads. Was it a while ago? Is there anyway I could see it now?

Thanks for that, XJS! I've just watched it. Boy, how very silly it is, though it does show the way Richard and James bounce off each other, as is also shown in today's Guardian article (on another thread).
I noticed a couple of things though. One was to do with James and will probably make NC/Dungeon readers smile - when James has to put the blindfold on he's told, "tie it round your head," to which Richard adds, "and try to pretend he's never done that before."
The other thing is that if you click on the 'cc' button (and jiggle it if it's not responding first time!), then hit 'Transcribe Audio' you get computer generated subtitles that are just hysterically funny!

It's a bit naughty of me to put this in here, as it's my least favourite Richard quote, but I can't find anywhere more appropriate for it, and it's a little whinge of mine.
I've just watched the episode again where they drive from Basel to Blackpool, and at the very start Richard introduces it by saying,
"Earlier on in the summer, we three were invited to switch on Blackpool's famous Christmas Lights..."
Anyone notice anything wrong with that statement?
It bugs me that he said it, but anyone can make a mistake. It really winds me up that no-one noticed it in post-production, and it's still there whenever the episode is repeated.

Should the Christmas lights be turned on in the summer??
Or was the invitation sent in early summer for a year end time frame?
